It's been bugging me for a ages that high impact fusion rifles are totally busted in the crucible and need a nerf, countless times I have been killed from halfway across the map by these non skilled weapons when I know that I SHOULDN'T be getting killed from the distance that I am killed from.

I hope someone from Bungie has a look at this and passes this information onto the pvp team. Perhaps give them steeper (but not too much) damage fall off?

The trick is in fact not to look at them. Strafe and jump around a bit if you hear erentil charging up and you’ll be a pain to ohk. (I use erentil in pvp FYI. I know it’s amazing, but only against middle to low skill players. Against better than average players I might as well be blowing a hair dryer at them)

Third clip is more than reasonable... That's not even 20 meters, FRs are supposed to be useful within 35... I'd comment on the first 2, but neither would load for me, so... You have summoned me.

We're seriously doing this? We're actually talking about needing fusions? I thought it was just a meme. Yet we have stupid strong things we could look at like thunder coil dune marchers? Arc battery Hunter dodging? Oem? Bottom tree striker? Bottom tree dawn blade? Recluse? No. Those don't matter. Just one weapon archetype of a special weapon that no where near as many people use as shotguns.

Fusions are just too easy to secure kills with. There's almost a zero percent chance to outplay a fusion user, considering the ranges of effectiveness. They only influence a crouch camping meta, it's stupid.

These are close to mid range kills with you being stationary and completely out of cover.

You dont know mapped until you been vooped feom atleast 1/4 of the first light map. That fusion would literally half map people with ease in d2.

All 3 clips were fine. I don’t even know what you are trying to complain about in clip 3, as that was close to shotgun range. This complaining really needs to stop honestly.

Shotguns and fusions both need to be treated the same. Need to be made that you only really get a kill if at least 70% of you spread hits. If it's less then it is not a one shot kill

Hey, at least it ain't Cross mapping on Bastion or First Light levels of bad. Those 3 examples were OK I've got a Clip of me 1 tapping a super at 40~ meters in D2. Those ranges are problems, the 3 you shown were within range for all 7 bolts hitting.

I'm surprised that sleeper hasn't been brought up in this topic since it is a linear fusion rifle and it can do decent damage if you can get a shot out on it

No. They don't need anything. They fill a special weapon block that would only create more -blam!- if they couldn't. The fact is, fusion rifles are only a "problem" in [i]vERY[/i] casual pvp. Rank up and out. You will hardly see them.

Yep, erentil is “fair and balanced”, as the erentil crutchers would say. Most of the videos were mid range shots but that sh*t that happened on burning shrine shouldn’t be possible.

Precisions and Adaptives are fine as is, if anything they need minor buffs to aid their consistency. A quick-charging Fusion Rifle should be an ideal counter to a Shotgun rush but that simply isn't the case. Erentil and Wizened Rebuke offer so much more consistency and can do it from significantly further out at no cost. On a related note, please nerf Backup Plan. I say this because, with the way the perk works now, you have enough time after swapping to fire off two shots with the reduced charge time. I think the timer should be reduced (or removed entirely, and the perk made shot-based) such that you can only get off a single shot. If you miss the buffed shot, you shouldn't be able to get a second bite at the cherry.

They have the range of an hand cannon, but they do not requires skill at all.

If you shorten the range of fusion rifles and if we have the movement we have available to us in this game they will VANISH from use. This is the fact. Once a shotgun ape can close the gap they go back to the vault. Go look up use numbers of shotguns, and fusion rifles. Go look up kill numbers fusion rifles vs shotguns. Then make your case.

I completely agree. Fusions, at max range, can hit and kill a target at 65m. The target was standing still however that is a ridiculous amount of range. Give them a slightly higher charge rate and a little range nerf then they'll be perfect.
