This arc......is just too much like recent happenings IRL. Failed insurrection and not even a slap on the wrist for the attempt. Lakshmi better get more than a slap on the wrist, if she isnt killed or at the very least imprisoned and the vex tech and FWC destroyed then what is the point in even having a vanguard?! Our character should just be a renegade at that point, i'm pretty confident were the most powerful guardian weve seen so far in the destiny verse so why are we not in a more prominent position to make decisions? We're always the one relied on to fix everything and kill all the bosses/powerful enemies. So it just seems weird that we wouldnt at least make our voices heard. I'm sure many people living in the city idolize our character for all the times weve saved them from destruction, so if we had spoken out against lakshmi in the very beginning it might have been possible to remove some of the interest people had in listening to her xenophobia. I get that its a 1st person shooter and letting the main character make decisions that could drastically change the outcome would be logistically impossible. However if i have to listen to one more monolouge from our cancer voiced exo, basically telling us how shes about to make a play for control of the city, and then do NOTHING to crack down on that shit, I'm going to lose it. Were clearly building towards something here and im just hoping there are actual concequences for lakshmi and FWC as well as New Monarchy.
