Dorner likely dead. Single shot heard, cabin on fire, ammo cookoff.
He is in the Big Bear area and reports are that he has stolen a white dodge with a trailer hitch. All available units are rushing into the area.
No one was hurt in the exchange of gun fire.
Will update as more info comes out.
Update 1: He had taken a couple hostage in the town of Sugarloaf south west of Big Bear lake.
Update 2: Shots fired, gun fight

And then ends my updates. The Police Scanner finally went down. I am as in the dark as you guys.
Special Update: One of the wounded Deputies has died.
Rumor: Dorner is dead. Two things make that seem plausible. Roadblock was opened up farther down the mountain and no more vehicle searches, and the scanner has started playing agian. Still just a rumor.

At this point, if this is true, then I'm just speechless. I don't understand how somebody can be this elusive. What branch of the military did he serve in again? Seriously, if he got away... What the hell. Apparently, cops are trying to search the woods for him.
