If something like this is implemented I hope they make it something you can gain off of...make it an explorer's paradise with hidden treasures/resources or even settlements that only the best can track down.

mhm, definitely make it so that only decent pilots can fly through the belts and survive. Adds a little more difficulty to it. Also staves off a large portion of the little kids who dont know how to play.

Kuiper Belt and ya I've been wanting to be able to do something similar in Destiny for quite some time.

Bearbeitet von DE4THINC4RN4TE: 6/1/2013 12:23:59 AMThe Asteroid Belt is actually pretty void. The distance is so far in between objects that NASA doesn't even really consider them when they send a probe through it because the chances of hitting something is infinitesimally small. It would be nice to have some sort thing like in that video, but it's just not realistic. And the rings of Saturn wouldn't work because they're only about three feet thick.

I like it, using asteroid belts as cover from enemy ships would be sweet!

I'd like to see Bungie invert the cliche asteroid thicket trope and portray the asteroid belt completely realistically. NASA estimates the odds of one of their probes hitting an asteroid in either of the solar system's asteroid belts to be about a billion to one. Also note that the relevant clip takes place in a planetary ring system, which is usually much more densely populated than an asteroid belt. Something like that happening around Saturn? Sure, but not around Ceres or Pluto. But yes, the asteroid belt and Kuiper belt should appear in the game, realistically portrayed.
