Seems like the Hive have the advantage for Visual Spookiness and Sadism while the Vex take the 2nd Place for Psychological Terror and the whole "I'll wipe you out of the existence" thing!

4 RepliesEven the hive aren't scary. The thrall are a little disturbing, but they are a bunch of pussies. The knights and wizards and ogres aren't frightening, they'd just be dangerous. None of the enemies in this game are scary. Shit, it's almost hard to take any of them seriously

I gotta say Hive personally. I mean the Vex ARE very very dangerous and their powers mysterious and frightening...but I would rather die on an open field to a robot that will shoot me dead and be done with it, as opposed to a horde of thrall who will tear into me, rip me apart, and devour my corpse to the bone...then chew on the bones...that is not a pleasant thought QQ

Just imagine seeing a goblin in the night turn its red gaze towards you. Fallen would be pretty nasty too though, when you consider places like The Devil's Lair. I mean...yeah. You ever just look at how there are bones everywhere? And not just there. A lot of the hive tunnels are pretty loaded as well.

Vex, the HORRIFYING realization of time travel and their innate ability to summon units from the past, present, and future on whim from Transfer gates.. that they can also turn planets into Machines! They can trap you inside simulations and lock you away in time, where you have NO HOPE of eacaping! This is the stuff of nightmares. This is the Vex.

Hive and Vex are pretty even, in my opinion.

The vex can do a lot of scary stuff. They run a perfectly accurate simulation of everything we do and can wipe us out of existence. Vex for sure.
