It could be argued that when it comes to flavours of the new 360 console, Microsoft has really burnt their own bridges this time. I bought a ticket to be one of the first to preorder Kinect, so when I saw they were also bringing out a new, "lighter" version of the 3rd Generation Xbox 360, I was glad because it meant I could trade-in my 1st Gen (y'know the one - without the HDMI port) console finally for a better model... WRONG! Given how much DLC content is made for games these days, a basic model with at least 80GB would've been more useful; certainly not 4GB. I'm going to ask my store if I can trade-in my existing model for the Reach Console without the game, so I can then preorder Reach Legendary Edition as well to go with it. Kinect can wait until Christmas.
