Has anyone ever considered the fact that the books might not be canon (as Bungie has never made it clear that the books are in fact canon) and that Noble 6 may be the MC? If so, Hasley would be talking with Cortana and the choice that they are discussing would be the choice of Cortana to go with John. Noble 6's background is very vague, bordering on sketch, it's possible that what people knew of John's past was hidden in his alias as Noble 6, as well as the fact that Noble 6 was in fact John-117. Remember, the MC was shorter than most Spartans, I believe he could pass as a Spartan-III next to someone like Jorge. It would be an interesting theory in the least. It would also explain Noble 6's "black ink" record. He's the best of the best, practically. There is only one problem I can come across, and that is the problem of the other "Hyper-Lethal" Spartan. Again, it could be John-117 in both roles, making both Spartans "Hyper-Lethal", but that seems pushing it.
This is just my two cents worth. I'm an encyclopedia when it comes to Halo though, but feel free to refute my theories (I learn more that way) and I'll try to defend them as best as I can.[/quote]
Noble 6 is not MC, Dr. Catherine Halsey just said it in this vidoc, that Noble six has the ability to disappear enemys militias and there is another spartan capable also to do that. ( she refers to the master chief )
Your theory doesn't work in anyway you want to put it, sorry.
