I want to take the guns I like with me. For as long as destiny one lasts. I want to be able to use my fatebringer, ice breaker, thunderlord, and jolder's hammer all the way till the end of the game. When the next destiny comes (that's not DLC for destiny 1) then i'll use the new systems in there. But for destiny 1 I want all my favorites.
If better guns come along I may switch to them, but I don't want to be forced to have to give up old guns.
I know this isn't how MMO's do it, but I don't care. I don't like MMO's. I avoid them on purpose. I don't want Destiny to be an MMO.
I understand that this makes balance tricky, and it's hard to make new guns. But that's what I want out of destiny.
I may be alone on this, but that's how I feel.

Destiny 2? I don't think you understand they are just going to keep making and expanding this game. This is how most pc mmos work. They don't just make a new version of the same game with slightly different guns and reworked maps. Black ops 3 is in beta go play that lol

Lol then go play cod

Obvious reply: Why are you playing a game that is so heavily influenced by MMOs then? With each new addition to the game, Destiny has revealed itself to be more and more influenced by MMOs. Even prior to its release, it was marketed as a shared world experience with co-op gameplay, raids with loot, an endless endgame, and a universe that would constantly be expanding beyond the scope of the first title with the ability to transition your character into new environments with each new piece of content. I read that as an MMO with expansions. I feel that there won't be a sequel in the traditional sense. Destiny 2 will just be a huge content drop that will expand the story, offer new raids, new vendors, new quest lines, and new abilities. I could be wrong, but I think Bungie had planned to make an MMO all along, but knows that there are players like yourself that think negatively about the genre. So they slowly introduce a bit here, a bit there, and before you know it we have a functioning FPSMMORPG. TTK is pushing the boundary a bit farther, and a lot of players see the direction. I'm sorry that MMOs are not to your liking, but Destiny might grow into a pretty good one. I had never enjoyed MMOs either, but Destiny is different. Disclaimer: I want matchmaking, a story, more things to do solo, and am not a fan of leaving exotics behind either

Find another game.

Keep em they will raise the cap come next dlc
-
This will not become an MMO, Bungie them selfs have said this before!
-
OP, I've been playing MMO's since they first evolved from text-based adventures on the old BBS boards. Trust me, Destiny will never be an MMO.
-
You are not alone. The whole "this is how MMOs work" excuse is pathetic. Destiny was advertised as something different.

The community has spoken Bungie. Let us know what's up.
-
Bump.
-
You can use the same guns that you are currently using for The Taken King though.
-
Agreed.
