Is there a way to buy Digital Vanilla Destiny?
I play on Xbox One. I bought the Ghost Edition when Destiny first came out so I have a hard copy of the game. I also own both Expansion I and II and have already pre ordered the digital version add on for The Taken King when it was first announced. My question is, can I still buy the original vanilla Destiny on digital without having to rebuy everything I already own? I have checked Amazon, the Xbox Store, Ebay, Walmart, and the Destiny store. Why can't I buy digital vanilla Destiny?

It's not possible anymore to purchase vanilla standalone destiny as a digital copy. The option for it was removed months ago and replaced by the Digital Guardian Edition for the Xbox Live and PSN marketplace.

I was thinking about it and you could contact xbox customer service and ask for a refund on the TTK. If you told them that you bought the wrong version then they might be able to give you your money back and you can use it on the legendary edition.

2 RepliesI know on ps4 they renamed vanilla as the taken king for uniformity reasons. Xbox might have done the same so you may want to look for a $60 version of destiny "the taken king" because that may be what your looking for.
