How was the flood released at Delta halo? I know at 04 the covies unlocked them, but I have no understanding how the flood were unlocked in 05?
Also, do current humans (2558) know the existence of ancient humanity?

Security breakdown/malfunction after eons allowed the flood to escape. Fortunately, they had no way off and no food. When Halo 2 occurred, fresh meat gave them strength.
