I think they stick to holidays that are more globally accepted. I have no idea what black friday is for example.

We have Black Friday in the UK, but only in the last couple of years. People go nuts for it
-
Yeah it sucks. Alot of people don't realize that most of the deals they see, aren't deals. 50% off a ridiculous price is still over priced. Kk now what I mean?
-
If it involves discounts, i wouldn't mind if us Dutch people start doing this. But we have a holiday on december 5th, so that might be too close for having more sales.
-
Its just the Friday after our Thanksgiving holiday with good sales to get people spending for Christmas. Its not a "holiday" People here go full retard for it, they start shopping at like 10pm thanksgiving night and shop all day today. Not me though, I'm "lucky" enough to be at work.

The day after thanksgiving day where most companies go into the black zone meaning they hit the higher sale point for the year. Everything basically goes on sale aside from food products.
-
That's not the original black Friday meaning.

Edited by Sanctus Michael: 11/27/2015 12:45:16 PMExactly... the day after Thanksgiving. But, Thanksgiving isn't a global holiday so it makes sense a global game like Destiny wouldn't have a Black Friday. I know you're just giving the answer to what Black Friday is, not necessarily agreeing with the OP. This is more of an side step to your reply. Xur is an international vendor, black Friday is an American thing. No black Friday on the NASDAQ either. This world is a lot larger, and there are more cultures, than just the United States of America. The USA isn't the center of the universe.

Canada has thanksgiving and black Friday.
-
I don't think any other country has that, or thanksgiving (i don't know what that is either). So i think they'll stick to holidays like christmas, that are a more international thing. Not that i would mind discounts.
-
I know Canada does but it isn't the same date as ours
-
Canadian Thanksgiving is the same day as Columbus Day
-
Ok thx
-
Lol yea most likely. Wouldn't hurt to make this "Holiday" known internationally at least within the Destiny community.
-
I knew what it was now I know what it means thanks (Canadian btw)

Gotcha lol yea I just found out the actually meaning of Black Friday 2 days ago from my manager:P
