Just an opinion. If a person were to speak up (louder than ISIS and other violent groups) for Islam and its true love of peace, and gain support for speaking up, then the public eye may view the religion in a better light. If there is already someone like this out there, please let me know. I am not Muslim, but I do support those who are Muslim.
sorry for the religion post, just happened to be on my mind.
Malala. I saw the documentary about her and she is so amazing. She is the one who was shot in the eye btw

From what I've read about it, you aren't allowed to draw any prominent figures ex: Mohammed, Angels, ect. So I don't know if adding someone else who couldn't be depicted would work :/

The issue is that the religion is not as peaceful as any other major religion. People are people. There are violent members of every religion. But Islam is unique among current major religions in that its scriptures quite literally call for conversion or slaughter of non-believers. So any figure like you are proposing (and there are many clerics with this approach) would be obviously practicing selective reading.

How does a Muslim close the door on the way out? Islam's it

With the divide of Sunni/Shiite, the leader can only speak for one side. Plus it will cause more division in the already strong rivalry.

Problem is like Christianity islam has many sects! & like Church of England don't care what the Pope says any Islamic "pope" or would be a supreme im-arm (no idea how to spell that) would only appeal to 1 sect not all :(
