I miss them sticking to anything. I have had them bounce off walls and pve targets and of course PvP. It is one reason I don't gunslinger as much, no sticky grenade. I enjoyed sticking since I first found them in halo. I enjoyed sticking a knight or cabal or one of the 2 major minotaurs on venus.
It won't stick to bosses.....someone please, not satire, allow it to stick again
-
Would like the damage to go back to pre nerf for pve.
-
Sticky grenades in general need to go, d-bags running around sticking people, because they can't shoot a primary = plague to the game.... but funny enough, if tripmines were the only grenades in the game that stuck....id be cool with that! As long as they had no fusion grenade boomerang effect haha. Straight line only.

Edited by WhiteLightning: 1/10/2017 1:22:05 PMThey waited 2 years to nerf them. Such crap. And if you're gonna nerf trips from sticking then increase the damage for when they are actually set as a trap. If someone can throw skip grenades randomly and kill me then a strategic trip on the wall should kill someone. I'm sick of people walking through them unharmed.
-
I don't miss them at all. They are still ruthless if you know what you are doing. Get over it
-
of you want a sticky use flux...
-
I also miss two tapping with Last Word.
-
pls. no. bungo. not. tripmine. again. stick me. one shot. me. get. t. bag. wave. say. nonono. emote. ugh.
-
You've got flux grenades. I'm dearly sorry that you have to use tripmines like TRIPMINES. The only part of the tripmine nerf that irritates me is the damage nerf.
-
Tripmines were never complained about, don't know why nerfed them. On the other hand, the huge buff to Golden Gun's damage in April Update was well needed.
-
I too miss unicorning people and watching them run. Best part is when they run into one of their friends thinking nothing stuck to them lul
-
Lol you miss your crutch? Suck it up and adapt scrub
-
No. Want a hunter sticky grenade try a flux grenade
-
you miss them because they were OP

Let me tell you a story. Long ago, in a land far away, there was a place called The Vault of Glass. In it there were a vast number of bugs, glitches, and exploits...along with a weapon known as the Vex Mythoclast. Guardians entered the VOG and had a blast with all the bugs, glitches, and exploits; as well as obtaining the Vex Mythoclast. But the developers were not pleased. And they changed everything that was fun about the VOG and the Vex. And thus began the struggle. Which apparently still exists today.
-
I hate that they nerfed the damage and took away the ability to stick people and things. No one ever complained about tripmines. But yet they didn't even touch lightning nades at all. Makes perfect sense if you don't think about it.
-
I love how some of the grenades in this game just completely blow ass. No, don't try to tell me every grenade has a situational use because some of them dont.
-
I just have one question. If tripmines were not intended to stick, why did bungie wait a year and a half to change it?
-
No. It's a trip mine not a sticky, get over it.
-
If it can stick to any surface why shouldnt it be able to stick on a enemy? Enemies bodies counts as a surface!
-
Then use a titan or warlock , this is why each class has different ability uses
each one specific for each situation
Trips aren't useless now, but the issue I see is there's no compelling reason to run them over anything else. Generally speaking, the incendiary is far and away better, especially since a direct hit is a OHK, and the burn on a lesser hit improves the functionality. Swarm is almost completely pointless; not only have I seen people simply run through them, I have done the same, done a triple-jump, and escaped relatively unharmed many times. There's no reason to use it, and I'd have to write a paper to describe how to fix it. Knifes are another story. I actually have no issue with them in PvP right now, as they are sill a one-tap / face knife kill with a hand cannon. the damage is fine in that respect. PvE is where I have an issue, as I can't count the number of times they have failed to kill a T1 mob for me, and that's pretty sad. I really wish, if the incendiary knife was the issue, that they had reduced the base damage on that perk and kept the burn the same; the DoT adds utility, after all. Overall, I see Bungie trying to reduce the output of a class that was probably being played for it's mobility and super, rather than it's grenade and knives and really failing to hit the mark. At the end of the day, I'm fine with it, but they did something they didn't need to do, and that didn't even have the effect they wanted.
-
Golden Gun was performing better than the other classes so tripmines and throwing knife were nerfed--both of which are still very deadly when used well.
-
If a tripmine should be able tk act like a sticky grenade, lighting grenades should do the same. Not only that a fusion grenade should be able to stick to a wall and shoot straight out like a tripmine.
-
I quit my hunter because i cant stick them to enemies any more. What a thoughtless nerf. Logically if they stick to any wall or floor they'd stick to guardians too. Of the three they were the hardest to do that with because with no tracking you needed a bit of throwing skill to use them offensively. I really enjoyed that character, too bad.
-
Tripmine nerf made me retire gunslinger, now I main blade dancer. I miss throwing knife and shutting down rushers, stupid bungie and nerfing my main love.
-
I miss Shoulder Charge and Sunbreaker being good. But you never see me on the forums crying about it everyday.
