Just read up this Article on Andromeda and, well, the 5th Paragraph Suprised me...
In the long run, EA still has "strong" expectations for the brand going forward and the franchise overall, Wilson said. No games in the series beyond Andromeda have been announced, though a movie is in the works
Lets hope its gets a "Warcraft" Reception...

Man. Seeing this post makes me miss playing TF 2
titan fall 2, that is
-
I'm calling it, it'll be rated R.
Cause if it's PG-13 it'll bomb like Assassin's Creed. :(
-
I'll watch it once, even if everyone says it sucks. I'm too much of a sci fi nut to pass it up, and I love the video games (trilogy I should say, since I've barely touched andromeda) It can't be any worse than the fatal fury live action shit show I watched.
-
Hopefully their better actors then Andromeda.
-
Yeah I'd rather it not get the reactions Warcraft got...be a good movie instead

You know, I'd say if they were to make a Mass Effect that's Focus on Shepard...have it be focused on pre-ME events. Maybe a movie focusing on Akuze, Torfan, or Elysium. Or maybe have it earlier and focus on Anderson, Kahlee, and Saren during the First Contact War. Or to make it really interesting...have it be young Illusive Man (Jack Harper) and Eva during the First Contact War. Just, if they do make a movie, I'd say don't focus on the main Mass Effect events. Knowing them, they'd just skip directly to ME3 because SPACE! SHOOT ALL THE EVIL SQUIDS RAINING FROM THE SKY!

it better have sexy aliens
-
Yah but they'll need a snap chat filter to get those goofy big-eyed faces

Video game movies NEVER go well. Plus I think trying to make it a movie would just be cringy.
-
Hasn't the rumour been going on for about 10 years now? Last I heard it was supposed to follow shepherd, pretty stupid seeing how it takes out the choice aspect and will probably give all the characters happy endings. One of my most memorable moments in the series was Garrus being taken away by a seeker swam and being killed in Mass Effect 2, no way would anything like that happen.
-
Hmmm I wonder what they will focus on. Maybe Csec buddy cop film with garrus or
BLASTO
-
Lets hope its gets a "Warcraft" Reception...
wasn't that movie a complete flop?
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but this the only game into movie that had a strong narrative direction. I think mass effect would translate well into that type of media. Seems like it would be an expensive movie to make though
-
Will it have outdated visual effects and actors we've never heard of? Yes.
-
They're going to -blam!- it up
-
Ah........ So a movie where everybody walks funny and the lead actor makes funny faces towards the audience? Sounds like fun.
-
-
I just hope it does not suffer from the video game film curse.
-
Oh god...
-
I wonder where in the Universe that would be set, and hope it isn't directly just a segment of Shepard's story.
On a separate note, now I just remembered how there were plans for a Blacklight movie, but considering things, that and any other continuation of the franchise may never happen. Anyone else starting to feel a little blue, or is it just me?
Bioware have been talking about a potential Mass Effect movie ever since 2010. If I remember correctly, Legendary Pictures ( the same guys behind the Warcraft movie ) have the rights to it. To be honest, I have very little confidence that this film will get made anytime soon considering how long it's been sitting on the shelf. I think it's doomed to the same fate as the Uncharted movie, the IP has tremendous cinematic potential, however Hollywood doesn't really know how to adapt the source material to the big screen, not without regurgitating the story from the games or completely changing everything to the point where it no longer resembles the source material.
