The Biggest News on D2
Judging by the posts on this forum, the mood around here should be so much brighter. Apparently, all of the whining superstars are not buying D2. Life will be good! CAN I GET AN AMEN!!??!!
Edit: I think I hit a sore spot. Let's try to be less negative and more respectful of each other. There are a lot of great people here. Sometimes that gets lost in all the flaming.
Edit 2: Well, it looks like the post is slowly fading, soon to be buried beneath the new stuff. Thanks for all of the great responses. It was interesting reading all your takes. Even the criticism was generally thoughtful and supported. Very few negative just to be negative posts.

1 ReplyMy only complaint so far is the 4 versus 4 in the PVP Crucible only. That's not smart,bring back the Same Sized multiplayer stages, with 6 vs 6 players or 6 players you against every guardian. And bring back the Same destiny one modes for PvP. I know the thing is in for esports competition with the 4 versus 4 in PVP. But every guardian is not into esports just plain multiplayer fun. Then bungle need to consider having the option to turn off whether you can see other People's Super or not. Then will Xur return? Iron banner return? Trials return? Glowing, special effect chroma armor pieces return with weapon customizations?

They will proceed to whine about D2 whilst logging thousands of hours, like they did with D1, but with the added bonus of saying that literally everything in D1 was better completely forgetting about all the stuff they disliked in D1. Happened with Halo games, now it will happen with Destiny.

It's a game, calm down, Hopefully all the whiners and salt shakers will pass on buying Destiny 2 then the forums can be an enjoyable place again.

7 RepliesThe thing is, many people are not happy with what Bungie is offering. They want to like the game but it's got "xxx" and "yyy" issues. If Bungie wants them to buy the game, buy the DLC and promote the game to their friends, well Bungie has to meet certain expectations. For me it's no more Peer to Peer local hosting of any shared (Crucible, Strikes and Raids) activities. They've taken a step in that direction, but I still have doubts. Hopefully the beta play will prove they have solved most of the host advantage, host lag and IP Exploit issues and the game will be very improved over D1. If they have, great. If not, I'll find a new franchise to spend my Time and Money on. The important thing is we tell Bungie where they are failing and what will prevent us form buying their game. Without them we have no Destiny to play, and without us there will be no more Bungie.

1 ReplyDestiny 2 looks amazing, straight up looks fantastic. The biggest complaint and one that I can honestly understand, in regards to the negativity build up, is the state they've left D1. The meta has drained the fun from the most hardcore of fans, it has sapped the originality out of plays and styles and left such a bitter taste, that when the idea of a sequel to this, arises, it brings out the current frustration. Other metas were annoying, they made people change or adapt, yes people whinged but you could in a way play around them (you get stickied by a curve ball fusion, you're -blam!-ed, regardless) this meta I've seen the most cool headed player rage and several friends quit the game and cancel D2 order (though that may change closer to date)

The forums are literally the most toxic part of this community. There's a reason why most of the Bungie dudes go to Reddit. Not sure why people feel the need to visit forums of a game they no longer play. My mute list always exponentially rises after the announcement of a new release. I don't mind people airing concerns, we all have em, but I can't stand the "REEEEEE YOU LIKE SOMETHING I DONT!! THEY'RE CHARGING ME MONEY FOR A PRODUCT!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT A RESKIN REALLY IS BUT THE SEQUEL IS DEFINITELY A RESKIN!! REEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!" -blam!- people, if you like the game and you're excited, just start muting people. Quit caring about their opinions.
