Reach Forge copy/paste and select tools?

So I've been making several maps on the new forge system and ill be fair bungie have done a damn good job with forge world and the amount of tools available on release, however I wish I could select like a number of parts together much like a drag and drop style on the click of a mouse in the computer say when editing pictures. Also say you just made an awesome looking base and you think right lets make the same base for the second team why can't bungie make a tool where you can select the base you have made then have the option to copy all then go to where you want the new base to be and go paste and success second base done just rotate it around fit it in place and your done. I think with these tools we could see some awesome maps for team variants. So what is the community opinion on this? (:

  • you can still create perfectly symmetrical maps. It sounds like you haven't discovered the coordinate tool. grab an object, press be and select "edit coordinates". Then write the coordinates down on a piece of paper, and use the coordinates of every piece, rotated 180 degrees in the appropriate axis, and align everything so it is perfect. It takes a while to do but if you really give a -blam!- about your maps and your not making some half assed bull-blam!-, then it is worth the effort. Don't bother making a map if it won't be a REAL balanced, symmetrical map. This game came packaged with enough bad maps, we don't need more of them. Unfortunately Bungie got lazy and didn't package any good maps, so it is up to the community to use the tools given to them to fix Bungie's mistake.

  • I agree but I would also like to add a group tool as well.
