Now Bungie, for whatever reason, is just copying whatever bad design it can think of while not listening to it's audience. Season Passes were already done to death by every game under the sun trying to get some of that Fortnite cash and everyone has hated it in almost every game it's been done in but Fortnite. Not only is it because just like how people don't have the money for 20 different streaming services each month, people don't have money for a battle pass for every game they own and want to play every month. It's also cause trying to cram something that was designed for a completely different type of game and worked really well for that specific hyper focused game into your game for no other reason than money and then continue to force it despite the protestations of your audience is just bad form. If you had polled anyone who was an actual gamer before implementing that feature beforehand they would have told you it was a bad idea. Then there is the boneheaded decision of copying other games and the timegating of content. Which is only done for the purposes of driving purchases of specific season passes or to push viewership of YouTubers you have partnerships w/ for favorable coverage. NO ONE likes that this has become of an aspect of gaming because it just doesn't fit w/ how life works nowadays. Especially w/ just HOW MANY games are releasing now and how many people have a backlog of games they are trying to work through. You are not the only game on the market Bungie and you should respect your players time. While you are far from the only company guilty of a lot of these practices Bungie, saying that other people are doing something wrong is not a defense of doing something wrong. Not only that but a lot of those companies have been doing those crappy things from the start or are f2p games (and no Destiny is not one). You had always treated your customers and loyal fans w/ respect and had garnered a huge and loyal following as a result of that. As Destiny has gone on you have slowly pushed the boundary out further and further to see how much blood you can squeeze from the fruit until the outrage becomes too much. If you would just treat your players/fans right instead of nickel and diming them then they would treat you right. You don't have to have all the money, be satisfied with some of the money.
