Passage of Persistence change/update
Bungie, sorry, but
"Passage of Persistence - When you play as a trio, we have updated the Passage of Persistence so that losses will no longer remove wins. This means, when you play Trials as a full fireteam on the Passage of Persistence, you only need to get 7-wins total, and you will receive a drop of the weekly Adept weapon. Quitting a match will still result in having a win subtracted. You must complete the match for it to forgive the loss."
There is literally no point in this for avg players to bother trying, you are just trying to fill the 3x queue so there are easy stomps there for those teams (you know, like previous trials years.) Unless I have 2 peeps carrying my butt, there about a 1% chance I'd get to 7 wins in the 3-stack sweat queue.
Sorry for being negative, but the Persistemce card became useless to most that it could benefit after a couple weeks & the player counts dropped, doing this for thre 3 stack crews is just going to be a ton of 5-0/0-5 matches

Right now they are self-canablizing and it makes them angry. This "update" will inspire a bunch of noobs to run in 3-stacks who will play for hours and hours in hopes of getting an adept weapon, while at the same time, providing easy kills for the cracked players. It's a huge L for the people that this passage was created to supposedly help.

It wouldn't be as useless if you were allowed to then focus that adept. But you can't, making grinding 1 adept not worth it.

2 RepliesI mean they just get the gun, which doesn’t seem that big a deal at all compared to what trials can offer you if your good, if I remember correctly, people who go flawless have gotten glowing armour that changes with your emblem, ascendant shards, shaders, adept weapon, keepsakes, ships and ghosts which you keep 5/6 to people who do go flawless Meaning people getting 1/6 things people can get without going flawless doesn’t seem that big a deal to me

What does it really matter if they add a feature that some ppl can use positively and others won't interact with at all. If you're not going to use it like that. it has no impact on you. I know I still won't ever touch persistence.

Hmmm?! 🤔 My 0.5% combined LFG team of ‘grind 7x wins on Persistence Card - no bailing…come what may’ will need the patience and persistence of a saint to get 7x wins. And then there’s ‘mic’…🤐 I grind this stuff out whenever I play Trials…and it’s anything up to 70% Ls - and that’s on a good day! How a trio of rando no-mic 0.5% Casuals will stick it out, especially after getting 5:0 Ls nonstop, remains to be seen?! 😶 Just use the same 7x Ws / Card with zero L penalties - for a lighthouse trip @ say 14x Ws or the Adept weapon at 7x Ws…😐 That would increase player numbers pdq! 👈 Ease Springs! 😎

1 ReplyI agree to a point. But I think the hope is that the 3s play list will be more populated. When it's more populated you should not meet stacks all the time making 7 wins doable. Might take some time, but doable. Given that there is an increase in rewards in 3s then it does seem like a positive move

You’re absolutely right about that. It is to incentivize cannon fodder against 3 stacks and I guarantee you, well almost guaranteed, that being in a 3 stack with average players will take longer to complete the Persistence card than solo queue while u pray to get teamed with good duos. You see trios know they have to be really good, and in tune, probably on comms, and this is just a marketing stunt for the persistence card to incentivize new/casual/average players to team up with 3. Your best bet is really solo queue if you’re bad, because you will get good duos on your team occasionally. Those sweaty trios and streamers in trios just watch them for a bit on twitch see what happens in 3’s then decide if u wanna experience that pain And while you’re at it lookup the trials stats for solo/duo/trio. Only a few thousand trios play each weekend sometimes even less, really high chance to be put against a crazy good team
