why arent kinetic slot glaives there?
Glavies are in a good spot right now, we have energy and heavy glaives but why we do not have kinetic slot glaives? Is there a technical issue? Could it be a problem with the sandbox and weapon balance? Why not adding more movement based "weapon frame" to a glaive? Like the grapple hook did, i know it would be overpowerd but why not? Gameplay would be more dynamic, not just like standing still almost and doing dmg, be fast and deal dmg. Why we cant shoot or use abilities while running? But to grapple with a glaive in the middle of the air would be also bad, just grapple on objects with the glaive grapple. But what perks would be on that kinda glaive? And would it still shoot projectiles? The grapple lenght, pull speed of the grapple the dmg and the cooldown of it? So how often you can grapple, is it a cooldown or it is consumable and rebuildable through kills? Could it even be a glaive anymore and what is the ammo type?

Kinetic Glaives don’t exist because they would need to create an entirely new holding animation for them so they don’t break the game in cutscenes where you actively have your weapon out.

I figured kinetic glaives would basically be like a rail gun with a blade attached. Basically Arbalest or with a blade.

Seeing a problem with the hunter exotic tbh as is makes explosions on ranged glaive shots right? Unless it’s just a “white” splash a kinetic glaive going to work with those or could cause bugs. It saying I don’t want one or am against it, I love glaive S when I feel like a different build.

They'd have to change the character menu pose and rework old cutscenes. Too much work.

I know, it’s ridiculous. Glaives have been around since WQ launch, yet we don’t even have a kinetic slot glaive. The solstice event would have been perfect to release a Stasis Glaive or maybe this years Festival of the Cost could drop a strand one. I just want a good Impulse Amplifier + Beacon Rounds strand glaive that I can use with Hush.

Bungie actually knows weapons (not how to balance them).. ..they have made the glaive work and can be fun.. in a gun game Bungie should give this team a chance to shine even more.. to lead the game's direction.. ..I want a gauntlet for weapons.. testing range.. reports how I did.. and of course hardware or weapon specific mode PVP.. and release new types > thats the chase along with the new content
