Destiny 2 Crashes on launch (Steam)

I'm currently struggling with an issue. Every time I launch the game, I reach the title screen as normal. I go through the large, class logo screen with the black background. I get to the blue background with the class logo spinning in the corner. The text chat says "Welcome to Destiny 2." then, right when it would have loaded up class selection, the game crashes. No feedback or errors presented. Occasionally, I'll get struck with "Destiny 2 servers are not available" right after the title screen instead. But on the of chance that happens, I make it past that next time I try and it still crashes. I've got an i9-13900 and an RX 7800 XTX so there's no performance issues. Other people on my Wifi network can play D2 on PC without issue. I've already verified game files and fully reinstalled the game. I bought Silver recently Any Advice?

  • Hi there! Please follow the steps outlined below to provide an accurate system report. Please do not follow these steps while Destiny 2 is running. 1. Restart your machine. 2. When you log in, please click on the Windows icon, then type dxdiag. If typed correctly, only one command should appear. Please click it. (If you need to enter the credentials of an administrator of the PC, please do so). 3. Allow the tool to run. A green bar should progress on the bottom portion of the window. If you receive any dialogue boxes as it progresses, please address them accordingly. 4. Once the tool is completed, please click on the "Save All Information" button. Save the resulting text file in an easy to find location, such as your Desktop. Then, close the tool. 5. Open the text file you just created and copy all of text to your clipboard by selecting all of it (Ctrl+A) and copying it (Ctrl +C OR rightclick and click Copy). Then, close the file. 6. Go to pastebin.com 7. In the text box below, paste all of the text in the box. 8. If you would like to make your system specs hidden, you can change the Paste Exposure to Unlisted. This will hide it from the Public section of the site but still allow people to view your Paste. Then, click the Create New Paste button. 9. Copy the resulting URL and reply back to this comment with the URL.

    • Hello TravelTeam7, Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear about the stability issues you are facing. On top of verifying the integrity of the files through Steam, we recommend also trying to uninstall and reinstall the game. In case the issue stems from a connection issue, we also recommend trying our Network Troubleshooting Guide and our UPnP and Port Forwarding Guide. When doing the UPnP and Port Forwarding, please ensure each method is attempted separately. These should not be performed together.
