There is no excuse for having a game ship with absolutely no story at all to speak of through the entire game. There are no interesting characters, arcs, plots, no character progression in the slightest. The game has no soul, the gameplay is fine, albeit ridiculously repetitive and the amount of backtracking is awful, but at least shooting feels good. That being said, I didn't pay $60 for a game to improve months, from years from now to maybe get better. I wanted that with the game. The world also happens to be laughably small, which is a slap in the face considering Bungie said it would be massive.

You obviously haven't read the lore, from the grimoire. Dude the things they tell you in that is mind blowing. Especially if you get the Vex Ghost Fragments. Those cards were the most mind blowing. Also seeing the story of the exotic guns. Very lovely stories. But if reading isn't your thing then you miss out on a lot. Destiny is like Dark Souls/Demon's Souls. They don't spoon feed you everything. You gotta learn things for yourself.

So to figure out why I'm doing what I'm doing in Destiny I have to stop playing the game and go online? What if i don't have a computer? Why am I playing as an exo or an awaken? You have no idea what the hell they even are unless you have cards, you aren't even informed in game. That's like playing The Last of Us with just gameplay, you want to experience the story? I hope you have a smart phone!... So you can read it.

We already have two expansions on the way and you think after those Bungie would just make a Destiny 2 without finishing off this one...? Can you say that with a straight face? Does their track record give you any reason to believe such a thing? You wanted to pay $60 and have a game where it gave you everything you wanted from the get go, I get that, but you bought the wrong game sir. They said 10year lifecycle. This wasn't a purchase, it was an investment. Sorry you didn't realize that.
