Does anybody realize that Destiny is far from over....?

Just wondering if there are people out there that realize that what we've played so far.. that 20+ hours you've put into this game so far is only the beginning? That the reason the "story" is lacking is because there really isn't one right now on purpose? That all we've seen so far is a brief introduction into the massive world Bungie is opening us up to (and a damn good introduction at that)? This isn't Assassin's Creed where you play it for 4 days, get through the story and be done with it. I honestly think we've only experienced a tenth of what Bungie has in store for us. Being an intelligent consumer you have to know what you're in for, the $90 I spent on this game is not for a 16 hour story and some silly side quests. It's an investment in a franchise from a company which brought us the likes of HALO. Let's have some sense comrades. I look at a lot, not all, but a lot of these complaints and when you break them down people are, in essence, complaining that they haven't played and seen everything the game has to offer yet. Bungie, over the next days, months, years, will be giving us more to play, see and do. Did you people play WoW or Skyrim for a couple days and then cry? No, because you realized that those games, like this one, are far from over after intro. I also realize that some folks are never happy. If Bungie had introduced to us from the very beginning, 4389142 gun types, 4378 enemy types, 76 different planets and such, there would be those that after racing through all of it in a week would still be unhappy. These are the people I pray for at night. I'm saying all this to basically say we need to give Bungie time to reveal to us what they have up their VERY LARGE sleeves. Stop whining about paying for expansions when I bet most of you bought all the Halo DLC when it was nothing but, if my memory serves me right, multiplayer map packs.... nothing to evolve the story like it is in this case... but different maps to shoot each other on... C'mon son... Let's give an ENORMOUS game like Destiny more than a week to prove itself.. I mean hey, you beat CoD in 10 hours and then shoot each other on the same maps for half a year before complaining.

There may be more to come, but realistically, get over the hype that its bungie, and think of it in terms of JUST the game. The story was not only short, but abysmal. there is no character arch to speak, even as a prologue if you wanted to think of it as such. Further more, after you beat this INSANELY short and bad story, you are stuck running the same dungeons over and over and over until you cant stand watching your stupid ghost scan things any more while you get shot at..... its horrid. The only saving grace could be the PVP, which isnt as good as HALO because you cant even do take downs or vehicle take downs..... its damn near a joke the status in which this game has been released. There is no in game support for clans. Not voice for PUBS. There is no story pretty much. You can only earn 100 points a week in any catagory, but each piece of armor takes 150 to buy. We are pigeon holed into farming a game that is so repetitive you could do it with your eyes closed. Iliterally ran four strikes tonight while watching a movie. Thats how little attention you need to play this game because thats how LITTLE ATTENTION BUNGIE GAVE INTO MAKING THIS SO FAR. There is a reason why Bungie is VERY VERY quiet about all the bad press and upset fans. Its not because the gamers and fans don't know that this franchise is just starting. We are mad becaues Bungie came out the gate showing their ass instead of putting their best foot forward. As an intro game after having a franchise like HALO you think its smart to release your first epic LIKE THIS?????? HELL NO its not ok. And I guarantee the investors and parent company made their phone calls about it already this week after seeing the reviews and posts by sites and fans. Its something that needs to be fixed before the franchise suffers a large blow on its flagship release. Fact is, starting next year, developers will begin to quickly phase out last gen systems, and already this year there are some hugely promising titles coming out that will decimate Destiny's ability to retain the player base and market with this game standing as it is now... a completely pointless grind for gear that all looks nearly the same.... The game does deserve more than a week to prove itself.... but Bungie dropped the ball on this release by giving us a sub par product upon release. I have indie games I have downloaded that are more put together and completed than this prologue. Its embarassing for the players who spent the money, and Bungie as well. I love bungie, and I DO have fun in PVP with my clan. But no more than I did on HALO, and at times less because of the problems with not being able to take down vehicles in combat. Once again, the game isnt getting the bad reviews because its bad. its getting them because in its best shape and form, played on a next gen console; it lacks in story, music, weapon diversity, acting, character arch, in game multiplayer support. Esepcially in voice and for clan structure. It deserves what it is getting. And I hate to say that as a fan of these games and Bungie.
