I understand they want to give poeple incentive to visit their forums and use their mobile app, but seriously, aside from the grimoire, and maybe showing off your character to a friend? Destiny hasn't exactly been built for that kind of social interaction... it feels weird and out of context. The worst part is that if you don't check your grimoire, you don't know how close you are to your bunus experiences, that you only gain extra Glimmer from those glimmer granting items after you've killed a certain ammount of the ennemy, and so on and so forth; there's a serious amount of information packed away there, that I would have loved to be able to check while I was playing, between missions, without draining my cellular phone, or making use of the stupid data plans they set people up with because they know they have zero competitors to steal away that money sink.
