Why cant people just be happy for that guy.
If it would happen to the people who complain. Would they keep the weapon or dismantle it?

That's an AFKer you dope, he set his control up so he wasn't inactive and just stayed in the lobby, he didn't play in the match and these kind of people lose the game for their teams.
-
No, then explain how he could not be killed.
-
It's less about that specific guy, and more about how infuriating the PVP reward system is. No other MMO that I know of has this kind of random rewards for PVP. PVE, sure. It just ruins the concept of PVP, because there is ZERO incentive to come in first. it's all random. You can spin around in a corner for the whole match or come in first, and it doesn't matter.
-
The random factor keeps things fair.
-
It keeps things even, sure. But it isnt fair. Fair would be based on performance, like 95% of all other PVP games. Imagine if companies just stuck everyone's name in a jar and 1 person who was randomly picked got the raise, versus basing it on performance. Even? Absolutely. Fair? Hell no. (I hope my company doesn't see this it sounds like something they would do lol)
-
Wait, wait, wait. Let me stop you right there. I need you to understand what the definition of 'Fair' is. [Fair] adj. "in accordance with the rules or standards; legitimate" In this case, the standards would be that of all MMO games which have a reward based system. Destiny is not following those standards, thus it is not fair. The absolute RNG system is designed to keep balance in this game. This is to say that the kids who suck, might be able to compete with those that don't, because they can (and do) receive awesome gear. This gear helps them to stay in mediocre rankings among their peers.
-
True, and in accordance with how Destiny's pvp works game balance is assured anyways, since level 28's and higher with exotics can still be killed just as easily by a level 8 with a green auto rifle.
-
How is Destiny a MMO? Everyone has a chance at a reward. That's fair.
-
Even, yes. Fair, no. These are different things. Even, sure, but not just. Its important to understand that everyone being given an equal chance regardless of how they ranked is the epitome of *not* fair. Otherwise they would just give out gold metals randomly at the Olympics, to keep things 'fair'
-
Okay, then it keeps things even. Problem solved.
-
Wow, the density...
-
I just dont see why people make such a big deal out of such a small thing. Think it's more about people being jealous.
-
Its not about the guy, Im happy for him. Not rewarding good players and top performers as a concept in PvP isnt a good concept, thus the feedback. It removes any and all incentive to play well, all you have to do is finish the match.
