Here's an idea: CRAFT OUR OWN SHADERS! Either community 'modders' who could create and 'sell' shaders for glimmer or other resources OR an in game system where we run around gathering the various resources we need then come back to some station and craft our own color palettes. That would certainly make me happy! Also, the other reason we're all homogenized is because of the light system, a system that failed in the last game it was implemented in (an LotR MMO where it was known as "radiance") for literally the exact same reason. Like your cool looking helmet? Too bad, this new dumb looking one has one more point of light. But yes, ABSOLUTELY more shaders.
