I posted ages ago when the DLC was supposedly leaked and what a complete joke it was! Most of the fan-boys went mental to defend the practice of DLC with its "just content markers" or "there is more content" or "I'm a broke ass/ self entitled whiner" lol.
now we have details on the content its even less than originally thought...
1. $20/£19.99 Standalone $34.99/£34.99 Season Pass
2. Light Cap: Lvl 32
3. New Armor and Weapons
4. 5 New Bounty Slots
5. new character Eris in story mode, with 3 new missions
6. New Strike: The Will of Crota
7. New Raid: Crota's End
8. New PvP Maps: Pantheon, Skyshock, The Cauldron
9*. Exclusive Strike for Playstation: The Undying Mind
Out December 9, 2014
Personally this is joke and complete rip off I want new planets with content and space battles, new gameplay ideas etc. I have seen so many good ideas on the forums yet they release this garbage!
Edit 1- I don't care about other games, my point is DLC in general is a rip off and only encourages publishers to release half finished games and shoddy DLC!
Edit 2 - Perspective... you brought Destiny for likely £40 probably more. You got 20+ story missions, 4/5 strikes, raid and all the rest. Your gonna pay half that for 3 story's 1 raid 1 strike and rest.... COME ON WAKE UP
Edit 3 - WOW so much hate! As consumers you should expect more, defending DLC seriously ? "You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it"
Edit 4 - I'm from the UK so for our American friends £20 = $32, £35 = $56. To be more clear as some people are confused in America you can buy both DLC packs for $35 which is about £22. in the UK we would effectively be paying $56 for the same content
Edit 5 - Loads of response and great feedback and only a few idiots posting :) as it stands
- Yes is winning by about 100 votes which is surprising as the general consensus from the comments is more in favour of no and disappointment, however UK gamers are clearly far more pissed at the price and rightly so.
- Huge amount of people already purchased the DLC happy at 450 votes with 230 people unhappy they already bought DLC.
- Also 177 people sat on the fence undecided
Edit 6 - Great response well over 3k votes! as it stands on 31st at 10 am in order of the poll..
Y=795
N=572
Und=383
DontC=105 (lol why vote then)
have SP happy = 1010!
have SP Angry = 469
Edit 7 - IMO the content is disgraceful for the price. I think the game lacks content already and is highly repetitive for no good reason. Alot of people justify the cost by the time spent on the game, to me its irrelevant its quality not quantity. Yes you spent 100 hours in game but half of that was doing the same stuff over and over and over etc. lots of people justify the price by comparing to other costs cinema/food etc again i don't agree its comparable for example i could buy a music album and listen to that for the next 40 years!
DLC is way for publishers to milk money from consumers and its unsettling how many people actually don't care and worse even defend the practice! Only way to change this is to vote with your wallet! If consumers didn't buy DLC publishers would hit the panic button and actually think twice before they release games and DLC that would actually be worth a purchase.
For the price of £35 i can buy another game and will do so.

ATT: ALL GAMERS MAKE A STAND, BE HEARD! equallity no more console warfare it ends today go vote on this page please find it vote the future of destiny depends on it. I like the game have over 300hours in it but i wont continue to pay and play a game that keep fueling console warfare in this day n' age. I want the warfare to end I want equallity and i think the first expansion should be free because of the lack of content to begin with.

Agree. Not nearly enough to keep my interest. I joked a few weeks ago that the standalone campaign was done in 8 hours so DLCs could be done in a lunch break. Turns out I was right. Adios.
-
This is nuts. Why would I pay the same amount as a PS user and get less stuff (correction, I get the same amount but I have to wait to fall of 2015 possibly later to use it). I regret buying this game as a digital download because I can't sell it. I mean, but I doubt I would do that because I wouldn't want someone else who is less informed to buy it and waste their time. Bungie has royally screwed xbox owners and gamers in general wit the release of this unfinished game. There is not entirely enough to do in this game and the dlc is a joke and I won't be buying it. The best part about this whole situation is they could care less. Sellouts

If you can't afford 20$ then you need to revaluate your life.
-
The hunter helmet looks like shit
-
Unfortunately I already got the season pass thinking I would get all the other DLC's all at once. It was one thing to have exclusive pre-order DLC, it's another thing to make something exclusive to another console for one whole year after it's released. This is ridiculous.
-
Eh, I've wasted more money on less before.
-
Can't wait for the dlc.
-
Most people bought the limited or ghost editions, so they don't count.
-
Once again the people have spoken and the majority has shown that people will be buying this dlc and enjoy the game.
-
Honestly, I don't want to buy it. But I'm going to because this is the closest thing I have to a great game on xbone and I need more content. Trust me, if borderlands the pre sequel came to current gen, I would say goodbye to destiny for a while.
-
Meh... @ $20 Its cheaper than a packet of smokes. Cheaper than 2 drinks at a club. Cheaper than a cab ride home from a night out.
-
Seems good to me but I bought the real game for 100 bucks.
-
Because it's my money. I work for it. I'll spend it however I want. I believe in quality over quantity. If we got loaded down with content and it all sucked, I would feel cheated. As it stands I've had a blast with Destiny. So much so, I borrowed my stepsons Xb1 copy to play with my friends on that console.
-
It's your money, spend it how you want
-
I agree w the part the about DLC being a rip off...I hate that so many games have it and release them within the first year of a game. (6 months would be the least acceptable wait time imo) but since there's not a whole lot out to play right now, n I got the season pass with high expectations I'll be getting it
-
Edited by OHIMGONEGETCHA: 10/29/2014 7:34:08 PMI'm not saying it's a rip-off. At just $20, the provided amount of content is actually justifiable minus the timed exclusives (which is B.S. considering the current lack of non repetitive stuff to do) Still though, I can't help the feeling of being exploited simply because: 1.) I know there could of been alot more after seeing, with my own two eyes, the extra areas of possible content thats already on the disc. They know everyone by now has seen them. To not fill them all out and provide the already known discovered areas as first wave DLC expansion seems lazy and as if they really are just penny pinching. 2.) I just don't trust a Activision controlled Bungie. I mean, they made a damn good game, but they historically are just sheisty and use sheisty business practices. From the looks of things, its gonna continue. They made a really good game though. Its the only reason they are able to get away with this lol
-
Yes. I love this game, it has gave me tons of fun moments and experiences and I won't stop playing just because they didn't do a good job at launching.
-
Buying it and looking forward to it. I'll be playing with my clan and brothers and I've enjoyed it so far. Why complain.
-
I am buying it, because I want to trust them that they are making a great game for us to play (emphasis on MAKING) and when these DLC's come out they normally roll out major updates so I hope, and pray, and wish, and dream, that the issues I am having will be resolved then. Again, making and hoping are the keys to this post
-
I have the season pass regretfully so I'll at least stick it out and see what drops with the DLC expansion. That having been said it doesn't look like nearly enough to keep me interested in the game into 2015. Everything with this game has been a letdown so far. I remember the people calling out Bungie in the Beta saying the beta allowed us to play almost 25% of the game and all the fanboys jumping down their throat about how wrong they were...then it turns out they were right. So far I've seen nothing from Bungie that says they want to throw PVE a bone or improve the story/campaign and this DLC launch seems to be no different with the lack of story content.
-
This game is fun
-
I purchased the Ghost Edition so I got it along with the ghost, map, and AaA book, and of course, the post cards.
-
Im upset, but I have the season pass. Bungie said that they would be huge. Maybe its just my own expectations letting me down.
-
I bought it yesterday. I am happy with the game. Will prob have all 30s by the time this comes out
