Sitting this out.
Still pissed my armor from the last one is completely worthless. Why not have an option to upgrade the gear? I'm done grinding in Destiny. Maybe once all the expansions are out (I have the season pass) there will finally be a clear upgrade path that doesn't involve throwing away countless hours grinding...

Edited by Diamond D Nice: 12/16/2014 10:41:58 PMIf your solution is "then don't play" you've failed as a developer. The job is to get more people to play not make them play something else. And i think most people think of this as a shooter. But semantics seem kinda pointless. No matter what you call something if people don't like it you've got a problem that "well then don't play" doesn't solve.

Why? Plenty of RPGs don't suffer this problem… All that is necessary is a clear upgrade path. Level 0-20 through normal RNG. Level 20-26 (?) through vendor gear/RNG. Level 27-30 VOG/Iron Banner/Exotics/RNG. Dark Below 30-31 vendor gear (only sold in progression as unlocked at lvl30), Level 32 through new Raid. It's really not that complicated. It's stupid to have the jump from 20 to 31. What's the point in anyone doing VOG anymore? I would have thought new players would enjoy actually going through the entire games content. Even the option of upgrading VOG/IB gear would be helpful. Maybe even legendaries as well. Just have a slot in the XP that takes an expansion token that you buy and level. There's plenty of decent options out there. Bungie just didn't care to implement one. They chose to cater to new players and extend the infinite grind which is rather mundane and boring after 200+ hours of the same crap.

Also get fate bringer, still bad ass @300

haven't been lucky enough to get that one. the 300 guns aren't worthless on most missions. I don't know about the nightfalls and stuff. but also some of the old guns have better perks.

True. It is probably the best place to quickly farm shards.
