So, really, you're just in it for the arc damage on the primary? It has the same impact as Dr. Nope, btw (2), so not sure what you mean by shit b/c of low impact. Because that's primarily what makes nechrochasm a very lackluster auto rifle. Its stability will only get to 71, with fitted stock. You can easily by an auto rifle with those same stats from a quartermaster (like Payback SOS) if you really want max rate of fire of 100. And if you're willing to go down to the 80s on rate of fire, you can get a much better auto rifle with greater impact in the teens or twenties from a quartermaster, again, without taking up an exotic slot. I'm just surprised that gun alone would cause you to regain interest. It's just not that good.

  • Do you even know what your talking about? The nope has less stability less damage and less range than the eidolon ally and the nechrochasm is even better.

Of course I do. But now you are interchangeably using "damage" and "impact", which are not the same. Impact is different than damage (attack power). Impact has an affect on balanced PvP in Crucible, whereas damage/attack does not, and only matters in PvE. Dr. Nope and Nechrochasm have identical impact. 2. And the difference in range? Is just 2. So in Crucible, you wouldn't even know the difference, and you wouldn't have to take up an exotic slot. And just like I said above, there are plenty of legendar guns with post-expansion attack power/damage that have the same and/or better impact with the same rate of fire. Nechrochasm is nothing special. Its max RoF will do nothing to offset its crap impact and stability. A gun like Vanquisher will out-perform Nechrochasm in every environment. It's not even close. Even a gun like For the People would destroy that gun. So again, regaining interest for Nechrochasm alone seems a bit odd to me, because it's really not that good of an AR at all, let alone good enough to warrant an exotic slot.

  • So if you are put into a nightfall or raid the vanquisher will out preform the necrochasm? I wasn't using impact and damage interchangeably I know that the impact is the same on both the nope and the nechrochasm but impact is not nessecarily that important unless it's super high on a sniper or fusion rifle. The exotic primary is the smartest move by far because most armor encourages exotic primary synergy. the primary slot is called "primary" for a reason, because you are supposed to use it the most.

I've been consistently destroying in night falls and strikes because of the Vanquisher impact. While it doesn't do elemental, true, it's a better gun in every other regard. So unless you're truly after an auto rifle for its burn, no, it's not worth the exotic slot. You're better off using that on a rocket launcher or sniper. That's why people so often set aside the Suros in nightfall or raids. Because the exotic slot is best used elsewhere. There's nothing about Nechro that's particularly impressive other than its elemental damage. So that only helps if a burn matches. Otherwise, it's going to get destroyed DPS wise by a gun like Vanquisher or even Suros.

  • The necro may not be appealing to you and that's your loss. The vex is still the king of pve and the necro is the hard raid reward so it will be in that top spot whether you agree with that or not.

  • Agree to disagree. Vex is good in PvP but certainly not the king.
