Three to five teams of six guardians, (or three for a smaller game mode or if previous is too much) it can be faction based or premades. As in, if you queue as a single player you queue into your respective faction (Dead Orbit, Vanguard, New Monarchy, Future War Cult, and maybe Crucible?) It may or not be depending on what faction gear you wear or maybe you could randomly match into any base or faction starting point on that map but wearing faction armor would overwrite that and earn the faction you want? Premade would just be full premade parties only and it could keep records similar to the raid. You play on areas probably half as big as patrol areas but more combat oriented. Their would be npc mobs that are strong ( raid level enemies, with a mini boss for each pack) that roam the map or protect cache's as the only way to get more special or heavy ammo (to prevent camping to a degree) and bounties on their head for points, enemy guardians are also worth points and can only be revived for a set amount of time, maybe a minute or thirty seconds, and killing an entire enemy fireteam will remove them from the game, every ten minutes a large enemy dropship can spawn mini bosses that specifically hunt the team in the lead, but will aggro onto any nearby guardians in combat (to prevent overwhelming enemy squads by using this but I find this can also help against camping and alerts others as to where the lead team is). When there is only one fireteam remaining you could battle a raid type boss for that map that has chance for whatever loot bungie sees fit. There would be no radar, and it would probably use the pve balancing system, and specials wouldn't constantly charge, you have to kill npc mobs or enemy guardians, intellect would decrease the number of enemies you need to kill to recharge your special. After one hour the team with the most points wins by default, but don't get a chance to fight the boss, if the boss does spawn the timer is reset and the eliminated players can opt out of viewing as a spectator and requeue. Idk just how I see it might be possible if it even were. Lol
