Porting for last gen to current gen.
Hello,
I am about to make the jump to current gen, and I will be doing so with an Xbox One. I've tried looking online for any info regarding taking my Gaurdians with me. But, im just getting a 'ofcourse you can do it' answer. I just wanted to know tge specifics like:
- How to do it?
- Can they be moved back?
- How many can I bring with me?
- Will I have to buy DLC again?
I currently don't have an Internet connection and I thether from my GF's phone. Im not sure if this is a factor but its worth noting.
Anyway, all help is appreciated.

In an attempt to moderate the forums I will also add my question here. If I bought the season pass via the in game store, will I be able to take it with me to the next generation console? Or will I be forced to purchase the DLCs and taken king separately? To try to answer your question, I think that your characters and in game data are linked to your account (xbox live/psn). So I would assume that your progression transfers over. Same would apply for dlc purchases, exclusive content etc. But you would have to buy Destiny hardcopy/digital again. Hopefully we can get support to answer our questions.

2 RepliesHello Valentyn, Everything will be able to transfer to current gen for free. All your characters, everything. (DLCs will have to be redownloaded, but you can find them on the Xbox Store for no charge) The only things no eligible for the Digital Upgrade are the Blacksmith Shader and soon-to-be Taken King.

1 ReplyHey there guardians! If your thinking of upgrading to new gen then here you are with some tips! If you bought all the dlcs and have played destiny then no worry! Just plug in your new console and install the game on that console Once started up I'm pretty sure any add ins you bought for old gen transfer to new gen and are as simple as just a download away for free. Even your characters and stats etc will transfer over free of charge! So if you wanna upgrade to a new console then go ahead. I believe this works with play station as well so go ahead guys See you in the tower! -Vial
