Best VOG Oracle weapon?
I ran VOG hard mode for the 1st time recently. I've played since the beta, but I'm just an overall [b]really[/b] casual player (as in I don't raid or do a lot of cooperative events because I'm kinda shy :/) Which means I have no oracle disrupter weapons, no fatebringer (*gasp*), and no vision of confluence, blah blah blah I have [u]nothing[/u]. Anyway, I'm planning on being a little more outgoing and was wondering what the best possible weapon I could bring next time I decide to do VOG hard mode to make the job a little bit easier against the portal, oracle, Atheon, teleportation...thing. At least until I can get my hands on a oracle disrupter weapon. [u]What did you guys use? [/u]I used a machine gun, but it was just a pain in the neck whenever I got teleported, and was ammo-less. My team struggled a lot because only 2 of us had oracle disruptors and it was just an overall mess. Helpful suggestions are also welcome!

In general Fusion Rifles are pretty good to use. They don't have damage drop off so you'll be taking them down in about two charges with one that has decent Impact.

2 RepliesDo vog normal to get vision of confluence. Then go through. They are easier on normal and I see plenty of people running normal.

1 ReplyLegendary scout rifle maxed... For picking off supplicants. High impact sniper for Atheon. Super Good Advice for oracles. When you get VoC you can use that for oracles and have corrective measure in reserve.

I just use any Void guns I have. I find that BTRD void works.

2 RepliesDo normal before you do hard.... you can still get weapons from normal. Like vison and the epilougue found verdict and revenge.

One full clip of Super Good Advice will last the whole raid even if you are transported every time. Each shot at an oracle although it does damage registers as a "missed shot" and the SGA perk "missed shots have a chance to return to magazine" procs most of the time. So you rip them up, don't reload, life is easy. Then just load out with sniper and your favourite primary to stand on the pillars of invincibly.

2 RepliesBarring any VoG primaries, the super good advice is great, the game reads all oracle hits as misses so you hardly have to reload. It takes your exotic slot though, so you don't get to use icebreaker on the boss, which is my preferred way. I recommend a fusion rifle for hitting Atheon and as backup if advice runs out. Then have a scout or handcannon for supplicant duty. Don't forget about supers! Golden gun is fantastic for oracles and supplicants, especially with achylophage helmet. Then there's nova bomb, which can easily stop an oracle if you use lance. Remember you get super energy fast after the oracles go down, so put it to use. And don't forget the relic super which kills an oracle in one shot. Coordinate with your team and use it to hit one of the oracles that appear over the lowest part of the room, they seem to have more health.

VoC Icebreaker Corrective Measure A heavy machine gun usually makes short work of them. A scout rifle is probably your best bet until you can get your hands on an oracle disruptor weapon.

A friend of mine swears by Murmur (arc). I suppose any high-impact fusion rifle would be good (if you want to burn your exotic spot, try Pocket Infinity). Rockets really are the best way to go - Dragon's Breath could be useful. I would recommend an AR or fast firing Scout rifle for a primary. Best of luck.

Ok if no one has them then send and extra person in to help out Icebreaker shoot three per oracle than swap Any full auto primary you have Then machine guns Swap back to IB before Atheon Shoot with primary then finish with 2 ibs Sga is best machine gun for oracles then corrective measure

Shotgun will one hit em. Other than that, Super Good Advice or a rocket launcher.

3 RepliesLol@ the kids that didn't read that you have no Vog weapons. Sure the foil is the best but what if you don't have one? Super good advice. All misses go back in the mag and oracle Hits count as misses. Icebreaker. I forget how many but I think it's 2 shots. If I'm wrong please correct me, experts. Quick charge fusion rifles with a big mag or quick reload. These are your best bets without Oracle disruptor.
