Every 10 or 17 years in Maryland we get a huge mass of cicadas which are these huge flying like grasshopper looking things. And when I say huge mass I mean like millions of the -blam!-ers everywhere. This happend to me when I was in daycare when I was like 5 and they just kept landing on me and they were the nastiest things ever.

I don't remember them coming when I was a kid but I was fascinated when they last came to Maryland. So many I couldn't walk down the center of the street without stepping on them. Literally too many to miss them all. Thank god they were mostly on the ground. That many flying at once would have been WAY beyond creepy!
