I have never really liked cod and people are always saying that it's the most realistic warfare game and I disagree bye saying that I think Battlefield is more realistic with the bullet drop and you have to judge distance when sniping.
If you disagree then explain why
yes I mean the series
And I like don't like how they keep
Making them in the future because they make up so many things that I hate. Like the multi grenade in AW. It's a waste in my opinion. They have so many grenades that they don't need it. I think they should keep it in the preset because they are wasting money on crap that they don't need it's pathetic almost.
EDIT: Wow.... 100 replies!!! Did not expect that
Ninja Edit
Hello OP (or anyone who has decided to open the spoiler and read all of this).
I'm one of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We may have met before, we may have interacted, you might have heard of us, or you may have no clue as to who we are and what we do. Well, this little note is to explain some of the things we do. One of the major roles we play is to handle the reports that come in whenever a member clicks on the "Report" button, to let us know that there is a post, a topic or a user that either doesn't understand or isn't following the rules that we all agreed to follow when we joined. But that's not the Ninja function that brought on this note.
The reason I am writing this is because I have retagged your thread. Bungie.Net uses hashtags to designate their major forums and to help keep things organized. Your OP (original post) was opened, created or given a hashtag that well, wasn't the best choice. It could have been that you were browsing through the various forum/tags that are available on the site or app, and clicked on "New Topic" while in a forum that didn't "match up" with the subject matter of your OP. Or, you may have thought "this belongs here", when unfortunately, it doesn't.
That's another role of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We not only try to keep things fun, pleasant and welcoming here by removing rule-breakers, but we also want EVERY good topic to have the best chance to survive, thrive, find the right audience, and get lots of on-topic replies. And so, I have retagged your topic to move it to the forum where it has the best chance of doing that.
I give you my word that I have not altered a single letter or character of your Original Post, just placed this message below it and set the tag to better describe your topic. You may notice that you are unable to edit this post anymore. That is a part of the system, and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused. I've not replied or commented on your OP, since this message would most likely be "off-topic" to your thread and when members see a Ninja or Mentor (who are volunteers from the community) or even a Bungie employee post, they tend to go a little crazy and the disruption to the thread becomes a distraction. I don't want that to happen to your thread. I want it to be in the BEST place possible, to be seen by the largest audience who is looking for this sort of topic, I want it to take root, get replies, grow strong and make these forums a better place.
If you have any questions, you should feel free to PM me. My name is now in the upper right corner of your OP where it says "edited by".
Thanks for your patience, thanks for being a part of this community, thanks for taking the time to read all of this (I hid it in a spoiler so that anyone who clicked couldn't complain about "too long, didn't read"), and thank you in advance for creating your future topics with the forum/tag location in mind.

Edited by III URBAN III: 10/12/2015 2:46:29 AMCod is overhyped but is good at what it does, which is mindless fun. There's a lot I've noticed so far this new gen with games having shitty lobby systems, none at all or having unbearable lag, feeling unfinished, lacking content and CoD actually brings all these things to the table, you can't really say the games are bad, they are a victim of their own hype. I enjoyed MW, WAW, BO1&2 but largely ignored the rest because I don't NEED to play them every year. I will be picking up BO3 though as I need another game to play that actually works in MP.

It's fun if you play it for what it is, an arcade shooter. It's pretty much the in thing to hate on. Most people seem to hate on it no matter what it does. It keeps alot of the elements of its previous successful game and people complain it's the same game, it adds new features and people say they wish it were more like the older ones or accuse it of ripping off other games. Theres also this wierd fear that if a game introduces a new mechanic that COD also uses, then the game is just trying to be like cod. Ex sprinting, ADS, hit markers. To me it's an ok game. I wouldn't say its my favorite game or that I play it much but it is fun to play with friends from time to time.

Considering the only cods I've truly hated are the last 2 entries due to very specific reasons that could've been adjusted (and quite frankly 2 of the flaws are in both games being TTK and Map design and AW having overused Exo). Mw games were great and considering Black Ops 3 is actually the fourth sequel (people probably don't remember WaW is part of this timeline). I'm only shelling out my money on the Treyarch games now though, unless IW can fix Ghost next year and make it more like Mw2 or Mw3. I'd say its a pretty good franchise, overrated of course, but good.

Well back when I had my PS2 I loved cod but now it's just alright. Nothing special in my opinion.

COD is average not bad

Edited by Sora Orth: 10/12/2015 5:34:10 AMI still think COD is now just being hated for being COD, because it's the cool thing to hate. I rarely see a actual explanation on why they hate it, other then just saying the game is crap and its a waste of space and is destroying the video game industry. I personally don't have that big of a problem with it, yes it's not a great game, yes there are blatant problems with it, but at least there willing to listen to there feed back into a existent. Everyone used to bitch and complain that call of duty never changes and it's a copy paste every year, and when they do try to change it up. (read: Advance warfare and BO3) everyone loses their head about its dumb and was unessasery and that they should make WW2 games again. Because you know, we don't have lots of thouse already. And though the merits of the Exo suit and if it was good or bad is its own discussion, there attempting to change the game at least. I still just don't understand all the crap they give the game, I just find it mindless fun to screw around for a few hours on every now and then, treat it like a arena shooter, which isn't that far off due to the quake engine. Just seems everyone's hopes on the hate train and never seems to see any positive in it.

I disagree. Cuz I want to
-
I liked CoD when it was first released as a WWII fps on PC. It was a great alternative to EA's Medal of Honor. As all the different variations were released over the years, it seems to get a little weirder with each new title. I still don't understand why it's the most popular game used in competitive gaming, nor do I understand how people love playing zombie co op. But to each their own, I guess...
-
The worst game series naaa there some bad entry in the cod franchise but there was also some really good ones too
-
Not really. I liked the black ops and modern warfare series a lot
-
It used to be good but started becoming shit after ghosts came out and now I feel like all the games are gonna be set in the future. Only way it can get good again imo is if they make a new game set in WWII or even WWI
-
"Does anyone else thinks COD is the worst video game series?" Have you ever read any forum ever?
-
I just can't play it anymore since I started playing battlefield
-
Cod is the worst, Activision even more so. Did you guys know that Activision has removed all digital versions of the new game from Amazon and the Xbox store? I think Sony/Activision are taking things abit to far
-
Idk why people consider it "realistic". BF4 is more realistic in my experience but the most realistic one I've played is Rainbow 6 siege. CoD is just run and gun. I used to really enjoy cod but switched to battlefield a few years back, best choice I've made.
-
It's not the worst I don't like it but it's not shit
-
Wouldn't say it's the worst, but no where near the best, but they defined online multiplayer gaming back at the start of the 360 and PS3 can't deny that
-
I got to say CoD AW is a shit game other then that I enjoy playing the rest
-
Better than destiny at least
-
Can't be worse than Alaskan Storm.
-
Cod is trying to capture a younger Audience I feel like.
CURSE YOU ACTIVI$ION
-
Cod is for all the squeakers and sweaty wannabes
-
Obviously not. Mainly because of preference. I think the games are actually great. I mean they're not bad. It's just that I got bored after playing them over and over again.
-
There are far worse but can we vote on the companies Such as Infinity ward Or sledgehammer Both are utter trash Treyarch should just make all of them
-
Here is really what's happening at activision "Hey let's make a new cod!" I here halo is ok let's make a future cod "And after I couple of those, back to the present!
