I'm posting this as a reply here b/c I apparently know not how to get my posts noticed. May have stumbled upon some kind of secret in the daily, but if this is already known, I'm sure nobody will have a problem pointing out my scrubtitude. Okay, so a couple friends and I did First Firewall to kick off SS quest. After the warsats and such friends turned their Ikelos fusion cores into Banshee but I was distracted and thought I just had to hang on to the core until the daily reset. Also at this point I had not selected the final node on the bottom of the core. Took a short break and when I came back I saw that my friend was in the Promethean Code daily heroic so I decide to join up and get my marks. Friend is afk at spawn point and after a few minutes had to leave. I continue on with the mission. Make it to the end without dying then where the mission would normally end it psychs me out ala Lost to Light as in the mission end counter goes away, the floor begins to lower with me standing right in the center in front of the monitors you scan to end mission. As I begin to descend, Cayde says "whoa, you cracked the Voluspa code!?!? I've been trying to do that for years!" I get to the bottom and there are huge double doors in front of me and I am prompted to "explore the mine." Doors start to open revealing another mob of taken enemies with a major taken Cabal, so needless to say my exploration was cut short! Take out the enemies then get second mission end timer and am unable to find any further secrets before being sent to orbit. Thought to myself I should record this but honestly couldn't remember if that ending was truly different or just the normal ending and I was getting excited over nothing. Baby wakes up from nap and I was only adult around so I had to hurry and log off. Later this afternoon I knock out daily crucible events for marks then notice my daily heroic story didn't show as complete in the director. "Sweet, more marks for me!" At this point I had been back to the tower and was informed by friends that I'd better hit x to select that final node on my Ikelos core and turn it in to Banshee. Back to the daily heroic for my marks (and with no core!) where I die a few times as I am soloing as a Hunter and playing somewhat reckless. Mission ends on the platform in front of the monitors you scan to complete mission and the floor never drops... I then realize that yes, the ending I saw earlier today was indeed special and at first figured it must've been b/c I didn't finish without any deaths. Sat in orbit and it dawned on me that no, the first time I still had that Ikelos fusion core in my mission inventory, but I imagine not dying was surely another requisite to go down to the mine. Anybody else experience this? I KNOW I should've recorded a video, but honestly would've had to learn how to post it as I not as tech savvy as I used to be. Also, have never been an internet troll and this is by far the lengthiest post I have made. Trust me, I would not put this much effort into a joke, or "troll" as it were. If this is something previously unknown I think we need some Guardians to test it out. I'm guessing we either need someone in ft to have a core and/or make it through mission with 0 deaths. Willing to help out if anyone wants to try it out. I'm on PS4 under same gt. Again, I swear by the Light of my Mother I typed the honest to Traveller's truth here Guardians. [b]Edit[/b]: I see now fellow Guardians that I'm just late to the party as usual! Got all hot and bothered over Eris' ToM without realizing what I was getting into! Just thought it was crazy with all the speculation about something still secreted away in Promethean Code and possibly something to do with SS. Happy hunting Guardians :)
