I am planning to purchase Fallout 4 (have played FO3 and New Vegas on the PC and loved them).
The big question is whether I should get it for PC or XBONE? The most important argument here is the ease of acquiring and installing mods for the game (since it's a Bethesda game, probably running on an improved Skyrim engine, I expect a lot of high quality mods for it to be available sooner or later, including an inofficial bug fix mod fixing the issues Bethesda couldn't be bothered with).
The other thing is that one of my computers is an older system with 8 GB RAM, AMD Phenom 3.2 GHz CPU, Geforce 670 GTX, and 30" 2560x1600 screen. Will FO4 run acceptably on that system, or will it lag like hell?

Don't know about the video card but I would get it for PC. I got a gtx 760 and I can run it on high settings.

Edited by Sapid: 12/11/2015 2:20:24 PMI can't speak for how well your system will run it, but it works great on Xbox one. Positives: Solid performance and I didn't run into many bugs. You know it's going to be playable at least. I like a controller more, personally. And I heard the way Bethesda set up the controls, it favors controllers. Negatives: No console commands. Console commands can fix lots of issues before Bethesda gets to them if you run into random bugs Mods will take longer to arrive on console, and who knows what they will allow you to put on the Xbox (I wouldn't rely on console mods for some time) I did run into a few bugs, but I had one major bug that kinda ruined part of the ending for me (but oh well). I'd check out the minimum specs and see how far above them you are. You said mods were a big deal: if so, I'd just go PC.
