Hey look! It's NOT a shitpost!
Starting June 9, a law will be in effect that would make tobacco even more difficult to obtain and to continue.
Effective June 9, California would raise the legal age to purchase tobacco from 18 to 21. E-cigarettes will also be now regulated like regular cigarettes.
Personally, I support this 100%. I mean, the law takes tobacco out of the hands of the young people. Instead of getting addicted now, get addicted later! No more obnoxious smoking teenagers around me anymore. Yay!
I think this targets mostly those in high school. The only age group that is able to purchase tobacco are the seniors. You know the whole role model type of stuff? Yeah, now they can't provide such a shit show to the younger people, advertising that smoking is 'cool' and 'hip'.
Those are my two pennies. Now yours?

Missouri, Hawaii, and multiple other states have already done this. Late to the party again California.
