I surf the dunes of Vasconia.
I slide down the steep slope of Martian sands gradually building speed, and my momentum flings me up beyond the crest of the next dune.
In that moment I glide; shifting gravity with voidwalker abilities and nullifying my weight to soar even higher before falling.
I descend back down another hill with even greater force and speed.
In my mind is the axiom behind the geometry of these dunes. With my feet I invoke the praxis of their slope equations. There is a symmetry.
I soar over the Martian sands.
I speed down the wind-carved slopes for days, lost in the rhythm of descent, momentum, and elevation.
Each iteration approaching the asymptote of a platonic ideal; one defined by plummeting speed and soaring altitude.
I let desert winds carry me down and up again across red dunes the size of mountains like a feather lost in storm.
I surf. My wind-carved mind lost in dualistic meditation. Each rapid descent a primal rush of acceleration. Each subsequent flight a serene skyward bliss. I am the symmetry.
Vasconia: a buried Martian city referenced in the Barkhan Dune Bond.

Asymptote: in geometry, a line on a graph that a plotted curve continually approaches but can never actually reach.

Platonic ideal: Plato believed that concepts exist eternally in some other realm of ideas as "ideals." The concept, or "ideal" of an equilateral triangle exists in this realm of ideals, and all the equilateral triangles we see in physical reality are just imperfect approximations of this ideal.

Axiom: a statement or proposition that is regarded as being established, accepted, or self-evidently true.

Praxis: the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied, or made real.
