The quick resume feature of the Xbox Series S/X allows for fast loading of games. In the case of destiny 2 this means being returned to the title screeen with a warning message.
Often, after this happens, I notice various game issues. Audio components not working (I.e. no music, only SFX, or no dialog). Or sometimes the hover info pane in the character menu doesn’t show, or shows but does not allow any actions to work, like dismantling items. This also happens in the postmaster.
Doing a forced quit of the game via the Xbox menu will resolve these issues, but it seems quick resume does cause some game issues, not to mention the near useless implementation. It would be better to not support it so it does a new launch every time.

Could just close out of the game each time you’re done playing.

You can tell if a game is active with quick resume when you press your home button and go to games and apps.
