Destiny continues to crash at random intervals

My game has been crashing at random intervals for about the past month or two, I built my current PC about a year ago and had zero issues until that point, and I am unsure and frustrated as to what could be causing this issue. Some of my other games do crash ie. Rocket League, but not at all close to the frequency that Destiny crashes. My PC specs are as follows: CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070Ti RAM: Corsair 64GB DDR5 Destiny will run sometimes for over an hour with no issues or sometimes it will last 5 minutes before crashing, sometimes consecutively. It is very frustrating and has made the game almost unplayable, to attempt to fix this issue I have tried: Verfifying game files Reinstalling/Updating graphics drivers Reinstalling destiny Memory Diagnostic Tests (No errors) Lowering settings Increasing application priority in task manager Changing power options to high performance Disabling fullscreen optimizations Running as admin None of these have worked, I have encountered two different errors within my event viewer when the game would crash: Error 1: Faulting application name: destiny2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000409 Fault offset: 0x00007ff7f0ece344 Faulting process id: 0x0x1C2C Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DAB7C1D475E4E1 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Destiny 2\destiny2.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: a7784957-e85f-4172-a5ec-0cc7a6e53458 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Error 2: The program destiny2.exe version 29453.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel. I have tried looking up these errors and could not find anything that would help with my situation or stuff I haven't already tried. I am unsure of what to do and don't see why I should even be experiencing these issues.

  • same here, also with a 13900k cpu. loading into a zone or new encounter seems to have a 50% chance to crash lately. event viewer shows “BeDaisy successfully unloaded” message. oddly, my lesser-spec’d laptop with a 3080 runs it flawlessly. seems these better cpu’s are having issues since end of May-ish?

What fixed it for me was two things, hopefully it helps you too 1. if you’re on NVIDIA roll back your drivers to the May 21st ones, the June 4th one is messed up and causing crashes on lots of games 2. https://youtu.be/NR5IPyaru_Y?si=tKvEoBw5YvIYAxrC Noticed in my logs that Game services was crashing all my games especially Destiny 2, did that and it stopped crashing

      • On the PS5 and I'm getting more or less the same issue. May not be crashing as frequently as others in this thread but I'll just be playing as normal when the game suddenly smashes to an error screen saying "Something is wrong with Destiny 2."

Same issue here and pretty similar specs, have tried everything that you did as well. Can't play the game, sometimes it will crash before getting to the character selection screen. I can feel the game "lagging" as if I have a cummulative input lag, getting worse as the time pass by, and then it suddenly closes. Have noticed that this would happen faster with nvidia g-sync or ingame vertical sync turned on. Limiting the fps has done nothing to me, lowering the resolution had no effect as well. Changing from full screen to windowed fullscreen, borderless windowed ... had no effect
