PC crash issues, compiled

This post is more of a compilation to gather up other posts related to recent crashing occurring in game. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264081638 - related as this is the exact same GPU crash as I experienced here - https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/263999048 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264064377 - talks about a crash at the relic. I believe this could be related as the gpu driver version is the same as mine when I started having issues (555.99), and he is also on the newest version of windows 10. This person claims installing a previous version fixes the crashes, I've tried this to no prevail so I generally believe this driver version had something added that "broke the camels back", ie, caused crashes to be much more consistent, not that it caused the crashes directly https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264070485 - similar computer setup, driver version 555.99, win10 pro 22h2, crashing when dealing with new content. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264072563 - a very uninformative, but similar post about crashing https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264081792 - error code broccoli, ie a loss of GPU due to driver or crash (same as what I and many others have). Interestingly, this is on an AMD GPU. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264080987 - another post about crashes when playing new content I also wanted to add, I've had my first "clean" crash as well, where the game crashed with error code broccoli withOUT crashing the gpu. Thankfully, this time i actually got some usable event vwr data. https://pastebin.com/btM55HsK - note, ignore second log, it is unrelated I am posting this in hopes I bring some attention to these issues. I will also say some PS players are also crashing on similar menus, specifically the prismatic menu. I also know that the eventvwr log I received is telling me my driver is corrupted (or something similar). My main issue with that is 1 the fact that I can run all my other games with 0 crashes, 2 I just reinstalled version 552.12 using DDU to uninstall the old driver, and 3 I only experience these crashes in specific scenarios (High render resolution and high FPS, graphics settings do not matter as much, as I went over in the second link that I added in this post). For people looking for a solution: Set render resolution to 90, and set max FPS to 90. Regardless of the rest of the settings, you shouldn't crash anymore (although, if you set it to max graphics, load into the tower, and stay on the prismatic menu for a minute, you may still crash with 90 render res and 90 fps. Don't linger on any menus that you don't need to).

  • Thank you for sharing this, I've been having constant crashes at very specific locations; I've got 1.2k hours in the game and never had an issue before TFS. I can literally run all other games without crashes. I've reinstalled my drivers, updated BIOS, set RAM to lower speeds and turned off XMP, disabled all overlays, removed MSI afterburner, checked my PSU. Been reading about other people having these issues and trying out all their fixes as well, but I'm seriously at my wit's end. Sometimes I can play a strike or two, but sometimes I crash immediately upon choosing my character. Windows event viewer gives me RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 each time in relation to Destiny.
