So with episode 9 out today, we are starting to figure out what Halo 5 might be. Before I had no idea what Halo 5 could even be about, but now we have all these Forerunner pieces to chase after. So in a way we turning into the covenant looking for every little Forerunner artifact there is.
Now I have theory that we will go off to find something new in the Forerunner realm aside from what we have already (Installations 00,03,04,05) and we may run into mendicant bias and I bet that the Didact will be waiting for us at the end.
Thoughts?
I never had any thoughts or clues as to what Halo 5 might be but after episode 9 came out I started realizing what it could be and it is getting exciting for me.

So the rest of the trilogy will be some Forerunner-Macguffin hunt?
-
"No. That's not... We go together." Dat foreshadowing
-
No. The first part would be about trying to get the other half of the Janus Key. THEN, whatever side manages that, will be hunting down artifacts.
-
I'm sick of Button Ops but I enjoy the CGI.
-
People still play Spartan Ops?
-
Is there still only Spartan Ops Season 1 and Season 2? Because I already finished all of those.

Mendicant Bias is dead, his final act was sending John to Requiem at the end of Halo 3 before the Ark and Installation 04B was destroyed. I wonder whether the Absolute Record is on Requiem or elsewhere... In the first mission of this chapter, the Librarian speaks on the com at the end saying that that's where the Sentinels are going. I hope the Precursors get mentioned by name the next time they're brought up, that's twice now Librarian has said humanity must prepare but she's yet to actually say WHY.

Personally i think it's leading up for us finding the rest of the forerunners who went on the great journey with bornstellar-didact. I'd imagine that at the end of spartan ops it will set humanity up to become forerunner level of technology advancement-especiially if they find a facility for producing equipment for them. I'm thinking next game we follow the key to a massive forerunner cartographer that directs us to somewhere outside the galaxy. And we find out the main enemy of the trilogy-the precursors who use the advanced level flood to try and stop us. Then at some point ner the end we locate the forerunners along with didact(imprisoned for war crimes) and are left with a cliffhanger. At which point the final game would be a forerunner/human brawl against the precursors. At the least we can assume that humanity in the next 2 games are going to be really advanced if they get accesss to a massive amount of installations-especially if the librarian allows use/access to them.

I was impressed to say the least. The true saving grace of Halo 4 for me would be Spops for sure. It's the only reason I haven't sold it and still pop the disk in. I'm excited to see where the story goes.

Oh man, this shit is exciting. Reminds me of Halo 2 days. Bravo, 343.
lolhalo4
I think they're referencing the new seasons rather than Halo 5, plus, the key might be destroyed by season's end.

Edited by omg a bannana: 2/12/2013 12:57:33 AMHalo 5 is going to be about the Precursors/Flood coming back, Halo 6 is going to be about the Forerunners and humans teaming up to beat them.
This was the Precursors final test since the beginning and humanity/forerunners are now the keepers of the Mantle, John settles down with Commander Palmer and everyone lives happily ever after.
