• I was playing in the Halo 3 Beta when suddenly a Bungie employee opened up the custom games lobby to us on Valhalla. We were confused at first, but then we realized how cool of an opportunity we were given, so we toyed around with the low-gravity and the speed-modifiers for a little bit. I started sniping people left and right while floating 30 feet in the air, and when I told my friends the next day they were all jealous. Thanks Bungie!!!

  • My favourite moment was on bungie vs world Me and 3 other friends went 24 hours straight trying to find you guys, even though we didn't Find you we had loads of fun, and the best moment was the last game before it ended, the map was on narrow it was a close game, the other team needed 1 point to score, and were down by 10, at this point we decided to go full out beast mode, we had control of the bridge and were gaining points fast, when we tied the score i was getting shot at and my team had beat him down from the back right as i was about to die. Naw I'm just kidding, halo 3 was the best game ever, when I was with my friends, every moment was better than the last

  • There are honestly so many moments through the 11 years that are my favorites! Bungie, you truly had an impact in my life and I want to thank you for that :) One of my favorites is release night for Halo 3. My friends and I planned out a 4-player coop campaign system link at my house and had the boxes and tvs in a square around each other. After waiting at GameStop we came home and got right to legendary campaign. After hours and hours of playing we came upon the last drive of the warthog through the drastically deteriorating ring. This mission....was hard with no sleep to say the least! Finally, after all of my comrades were dead and cheering me on, my warthog literally barrel rolled down the entire last jump and off the edge of the cliff! I exited the vehicle and it flashes to the cutscene which looked like I barely grabbed on to the ship with one hand. We were in aw and also relieved! That's my story, but over the years since halo ce my friends and I have had hundreds of system links, many many nights up on Xbox live playing custom games, and have even traveled to mlg is play in your tournaments. I would just like to thank you for making a not-so-noticed positive impact on the youth of today! Whether it be keeping them off the streets or out of drugs and alcohol, you really do change lives :) Happy Bungie Week and may you live forever!

    • The first time I played Halo (the third installment), my friends who were really good were beating the tar out of me. I picked up a rocket launcher and walked into the tower on high ground only to find my buddy with a sniper rifle looking out. Being new, I slowly took my time in aiming down the scope and firing just as he turns around. My first kill in a Bungie game :)

    • I remember me and my 3 buddies were doing great in halo reach matchmaking, had a few good games under our belt and not many idiots trying to ruin the game until we hit about 5-6 consecutive bad matches..we'd had enough so we decided to have a little fun ourselves! Joining our party was a young American lad who was nieve, we'd filled his eyes with promise of a glitch and cool achiements. we took this poor soul to sword base where we told him he had to jump up by the far side window and look at the building in the distance.. Where you'll see bungie employes playing table tennis... At this point as he was crouching and scoped with dmr we assassinated him.. Tea bagged vigorously then backed out! Amazing :) simple things!

Halo 3 had just come out and a neighbour had already bought the game I wasn't allowed to play. I rushed over to play and before I knew it, I was. My first game was a slayer on Narrows. My neighbour told me the players on the other side are something called "Bungie employees" (bear in mind, I was 9-10 and come from the Netherlands, having no idea at all what that ment), anyway as I happily went jumping towards the enemy base it took about 5 seconds for me to get a grenade against my chest exploding by my feet, getting shot in the face and having someone run over to me for the full teabag. When I asked my neighbour what just happend he replied: "Bungie happened". Ever since that day, I've been addicted to Halo.

      • My most cherished memory was I think on Bungie day about 4 or 5 years ago when my friends family set up a giant halo LAN party with 4 xboxs and tons of people. We played everything from campaign, to custom halo 3 games even went back to halo 2. It was a fantastic day that didn't end till late at night and was a blast. Its this memory that has caused me to set up another LAN party on halo 2 with my friends and others in the coming week. Thanks Bungie.

      • On my friends b-day I went to buy Halo:Reach. We went to his house and the first thing we played was Infected. My friend Latravion started out being the infected and started killing everyone with the energy sword in the first 30 seconds. Of course I was the last one alive. I was behind a huge rock with a shotgun that had 1 bullet left.My heart started beating fast because Latravion knew were I was by looking on my screen. I shot him, I appeared on radar, they converged on me, I jumped off a cliff...

      • WAIT!!!!!! I can only pick one? That's hard..... just about everyday back when i got halo 2 all my friends would come over to have a LAN party, we got so into it that we had my bed sheet hanging in the middle of the room so we couldn't turn around and screen watch. We also had so many people that we had to switch teams on and off, we use to have our own little tournaments too. Those where good times, but if you want my favorite moment playing a Bungie game then it has to be when my friend and i were just messing around on lockout and he was explaining to me how duel-wielding needlers were the best thing in the game that's when i threw a random sticky grande across the level and stuck him right in the face. We were laughing for at least 5-10 minuets after that. So many amazing moments happened on lockout it was hard to chose just one.

      • Of all my moments playing Halo C.E. and Halo 2, I think my favorite moment was playing zombies (pistol/swords) on Foundation on xbox live in a custom made match. (halo 2) Sitting in room 4 feeling like Texans in the Alamo being the only 4 people of a full game of players who haven't become zombies. The entrance has the junk pushed to slow any zombie rush. Ammunition was low and you could hear the zombies talking outside...counting down to rush. The following moments when down in a a series of screams, yells, rapidly fired dual wielded pistols and energy swords swinging. Needless to say the rush ended with one zombie and myself with no ammo left. Thank you for the good times and memories Bungie.

      • again, screw the deadline and cellular companies. My favorite moment was in halo 3, i went over to a friends house for the day and we had such a great time. All of us trying to figure out a way of the level Cortana, and after a couple hours of that messing around on valhalla. Playing a game type we made where everyone is on mongesse (or is it mongi) except for one person in a warthog who tried to flip us. I will never forget that moment along with all the other ones your games gave us. That is why i love you bungie.

          • I'd say my greatest moments would be on Halo 2 since Coagulation had epic battles on that map I've had games with great back and forth, also the game zombies, and can't forget the custom game mods. One of the greatest games I had was when I joined my friend in a group of 14 people and we all played Swat on Turf which was awesome. It started out as finding each other and killing enemies and ended with one team of hog spawn and other behind the doors in front. I remember being behind the doors and waiting for the rest of the team then him hitting the door yelling "CHARGE!" And ending up with one person at hog spawn and waiting for another attack. That was awesome there was plenty more but that I remember the most.

          • I had a group of friends. Jake, Matt, and Chris. We were a team of four that could not be taken down. We got bored of H3 matchmaking for a couple days, and Jake hadn't played the campaign. I was flabbergasted, so I dragged out the original Xbox, and we went threw all three campaigns. As we went threw, we had some sad, happy, and exciting moments. Even watching the graphics improve each time had me excited. I made a fan out of Story Mode that day. Thanks for a great day Bungie; TDKT

          • My favorite game by you is definitely Marathon, also my first game by Bungie. I have so many memories, but the one I like the most is when I could get my dad to connect both Macintosh I had to play it via Apple-talk. There was I playing with my friend, we both facing the terrible Pfhor in Lh'owon. We both running around with our Assault Rifles and Magnum Mega Class pistols, firing on those damn aliens coming in hordes and hordes. Durandal just throwing us SPNKR Missile launcher, Phor aliens turning inside out with each explosion, yet killing us one by one. Total Carnage made us try even harder, 'till we were masters at the destruction of everything. Then facing the heavy assault drones at the end till we got to the epilogue, those were amazing times. Marathon is stilll my favorite game made by you guys, followed by Myth the fallen lords. It has an incredible universe, story, and excellent sprites for its time.

          • H2, BTB. A group of guys were on the other team whilst I was on my own. They invite me to their group and me and the UK guy say typically; where are you from? We both narrowed it down to literally the village we live in and what's weirder is that he lives only 2 minutes away and after the next couple of matches I was actually going to his house to meet up with his sister. Turns out it was a guy I had known for years but not properly spoken to.

Before Xbox live started we had to gather our Xboxes, get the system link ready and separate the room with a sheet. We were playing 4v4 all night long and were playing the tie breaking 21 on Blood Gulch . Down 46 to 49, I just got to their base with a Magnum and Plasma Pistol. After killing the first with my magnum I was jumped from behind with only plasma ammo left. They came at me one by one while I slowed them with the plasma and circled behind them for the melee kill. Quad kill, 50-49, game over.

          • Waiting, we kept the vehicle hidden. Over the comm, the unmistakable assist call: our specialist is inside. From cover the squad launches high explosives and gunfire towards the compound, drawing attention. Our engine roars. Suddenly barreling across open terrain, cutting sharply behind the enemy line, our best driver gives the ETA: "10 SECONDS OUT. MOVE!". The grab is heard on all channels, the radar turning red on approach. Braking hard at the base's exit, (utilizing the chassis like a shield) the turret thunders as our team-mate climbs aboard. Carnage and confusion reign down as we're directed home. Flag Captured.

          • My favorite moment was when me and 3 other friends all played Halo Reach on Bungie day trying to get into a match to steak Bungie (which never happened). Tons of fun playing that day. We tried for hours to try and jump in the lobby when we saw Bungie looking for a match in a live stream we all had pulled up at the same time. Thanks for the memories Bungie!

I’ve organized co-op nights for halo.bungie.org. The last night of ODST, my buddies and I went for the Deja Vu achievement. We’d lost our mongooses and were on foot, and a deadly ribbon of highway filled with turrets and ghosts lay before us. Oh, the carnage on that road! We died countless times, modifying our strategy with every attempt, each playing a role. Finally, a mad dash in a stolen ghost triggered the checkpoint. Such relief! That you can still see rendered clips from four perspectives demonstrates Bungie’s commitment to the community. Thanks, Bungie. We’ll see you starside in Destiny.

          • There I was, sitting firmly on my couch, my friend right next to me, our controllers in our sweaty hands, for hours we sat there attempting to complete the Halo 3 co-op campaign in less than a day, and as the end of our mission neared, we licked or lips in temptation. I, the Arbiter, standing on the warthogs back platform clutching the machine gun mounted. My friend, Master Chief, drove on killing the enemy in fatal speed. Our destiny was clear, we would finish the Halo 3 campaign, and as the engine roared and bullets of lead swarmed the battlefield, we succeeded in our mission, we had completed the Halo 3 campaign in less than a day.

          • My favorite moment playing a Bungie game with friends is definitely when two friends of mine, and myself, went over to our other friends to play Halo2 together. I brought my Xbox, controllers, copy of Halo2, and my skill and will to achieve my sure victory for my team if I was on one. We were able to play system link for the first time, so we couldn't do the famous "screen peeking". We stayed up all night changing teams, and game-types. It was a night to remember for sure, with all our trash talking, laughing, and even play fighting. All game experiences should be that fun. I thank you Bungie team for your long hard work in the gaming industry.
