I have roughly 17 different games that I could play at any one time. For the last 5 years or so, I've been searching for a game that could grab my attention like games did when I was younger. It's been frustrating. Preorder a game, hoping for the best, load it up, play it for a week or two then maybe an hour or two a month after that.
For once, I'm calm. I'm no longer stressing over what game to play or if they're even worth it. I've played Destiny. While it doesn't do any one big thing new. It does a lot of little things exceedingly well. This adds up into one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long time.
Considering this is only a beta, that's definitely saying something.
The OP has it correct, to a degree. Playing Destiny really will change how you play games for some time to come. Be careful. Be ready.

Have you tried borderlands 1/2, they've wasted so many hours of my life. But when I say wasted I mean having lots of fun :)

Had them both on the day they were released, my friend. Played them both but after so long it just got boring. Destiny really does have an activity for every mood. That, perhaps more than anything else, impresses the hell out of me.
