You are not being forced into PvP whatsoever, you can choose whether you wish to pursue the bounty, nobody is putting a gun to your head.
There is no need to have every weapon in the game, there are also enough exotic bounties without PvP driven requirements.
I understand your frustration and I respect your opinion on the matter, I just feel that owning certain weapons that 'tell a story' of how you earned them is a neat idea. I love using my Thorn, when others decide to inspect my gear, they'll know I worked my ass off to get it and that feels great.
To those who are saying Destiny is PvP driven, please elaborate? With only four core game modes, compared to Halo & other modern shooters that is NOT a lot whatsoever.
Also, you can earn rep for other factions by using their marks + farming chests / resources. Trade in 50 resources and you'll gain rep along with 5 marks & some cash.

All legendary weapons for sale require crucible marks to buy, hat made of a$$es.

Farm 50 of any resource, trade then in via the crucible quartermaster. 25 + rep, 5 Crucible marks, 250 glimmer. Job done. Get farming.

Need materials to improve gear. GG Fix the loot drops. Give us back Ascendant shards for scrapping Queen's Wrath duplicate legendary gear. And give PvE exotic weapon bounties that dont require PvPfag play.

Yes, you do need materials to improve gear. However, it you need crucible marks, quit whining & go and farm the resources to trade them in. Queen's Wrath gear patch was pathetic however, considering this gear was sub-par to what was on offer at the vendors, dismantling for shards was the way to go.

PvE gets shafted because of PvP bickering.

I like the earning it idea to. I'm just talking about the armor and weapons u buy through vendors that u need crucible marks for. I did just find out about trading materials for marks however and that has changed my opinion quite a bit lol. Especially since I had 360 spirit blooms
