All you people crying about how you "earned" your (Insert Exotic Here) from RNG as opposed to buying it from Xur, you're all nothing but hipsters. They might as well open up a Starbucks in the Tower for you to chat about how you got the Suros Regime first over Pumpkin Spice Lattes. The Speaker will start selling Hunter ascots, Titan skinny jeans and Warlock cardigans just for your uppity asses.

Just because you are guaranteed 9 coins per character in weekly does not mean you are guaranteed to get the exotic you desire from Xur. There is still a lot of waiting for that potential moment that he will sell it. I have every warlock exotic, I guess I earned it. No, no I did not. Even gathering up 46 motes each week that Xur sold the exotic chest engram only to finally get Heart of Praxic Fire the third week he sold it, I still don't believe I earned Jack. RNG simply favored me that day. Nothing else is earned unless you know you are going to get it (such as exotic bounties). You either receive something or you don't receive it.
