It's always the solution, for the poor. Take it away from hardworking people with ambition and give it away to lazy -blam!-s with drug habits.

You're implying every poor person is lazy and on drugs, and every rich person isn't. Demonstratively false.

Edited by Darth Trump: 10/26/2015 10:57:47 PMNot really. I'm saying "get your hands out of my pocket , and get your own money" to socialism.
-
You're also saying you don't want a civilized society.
-
Civilization has very little to do with capitalism. You think it's bad, but you could just go out and do what you want and have a chance to be successful at it, too. If a man's too lazy to go to school after work for a better future, for free( the government will pay for it) then he deserves that paycheck. Punishing us for putting in the extra work, just makes it harder to startup a small business. My entitlement costs are sky high as it is. I really can't pay much more, and make good money. It's so easy to do what I've done and it doesn't even take much money, just alot of hard work and sacrifice. People are just lazy and stupid.
I really can't pay much more, and make good money. It's so easy to do what I've done and it doesn't even take much money,
Elaborate please

Become an expert at what you do. Move up through the ranks, while saving. Go back to school at night, and start your own business. Capture your market share with a plan and shut down your competition, who btw laughed at you for spending your paycheck on a business. Profit and laugh. Smoke big cigars and party once a month.
-
No I mean your cubebs situation. How you can't afford to pay much more but make lots of money
-
Follow these instructions and find out for yourself. Technically, I could pay more, but why did I get into business? It wasn't for food stamps, for sure. I make under $1000 a week, on paper, but I pay out $5,000 a month for fica, mc, and ss. That's before I pay the state, workers comp or any legitimate bills. Is it right that the government makes more money from my business than me? It feels like a mafia, if you ask me.

Edited by Britton: 10/26/2015 11:38:16 PMYes, clearly nobody ever faces difficult circumstances that forces them into bad situations. And you're right society has very little to do with capitalism because that's not what society is about. Society is only as strong as the least fortunate among us. America isn't great because a few have it all, its great because everyone is lifted up by everyone else, and allowed to get back on their feet and try again when they are knocked down. But according to you, if anything bad ever happens and you need help, you're a piece of shit.
-
If a person is in need, that's fine. I needed help, once. When applying for help, I saw the truth. People are lazy and taking advantage of the system. It sucks that I group everyone needing help as a lazy drug user, but I didn't see my peers, when I was there. I know some are good, but enforcement is shitty at best. When I hear they need more, I think of the dude drinking on Tuesday, instead of working and drawing a check for it. I think of it monthly, as I'm writing my fica checks. It's alot of money, to be honest. More than I make, personally.
-
That's completely irrelevant. How is taking money away from hard working people and giving it to lazy slobs civilized?
-
Everyone who receives govt assistance is not lazy, this whole way of thinking is garbage. Does it really bother you that others might need help? Are you somehow above ever needing help yourself? Of you answered yes to either of those then you need to pull the shit out from in between your ears. The vast majority are retired and/or disabled. Yes, abuse of the system is there, but its not "rampant with druggies and lazy bums." How else do you propose people who need help receive it? How else should we pay for things we all need as a society that are not in the best of interest of the people to be privatized for profits? Or should everything in life be solely about greed and making as much money as you can in your lifetime just so you can die and leave it all behind?
-
While you and I have jousted several times, I respect you as a worthy opponent, though we always seem to disagree. I have been on both sides of this coin. I've needed help, and I've risen above it. With alot more hard work, I could make it to wealthy. It comes one dollar at a time, and if you take your foot off of the gas pedal, it evaporates very quickly. People always assume I'm lucky to be where I'm at and I laugh. It's literally available to everyone, and luck had nothing to do with it. To someone who started at less than zero and built an empire out of hard work, the have nots sound lazy. I'm sorry, but they do. The truly needy are deserving of our assistance, but the lazy ruin it for all of us.

Edited by Dolphinizer: 10/26/2015 11:22:42 PMThat's implying that all wealthy people are hard working and all poor people are lazy slobs. it's not hard to be wealthy when you've inherited several billion The main reason people are poor is because they're born into that situation. We can help get them out of it
That's implying that all wealthy people are hard working and all poor people are lazy slobs. You are lazy if you work a job, your whole life and wealthy people worked very hard to get that way it's not hard to be healthy when you've inherited several billion I didn't. The main reason people are poor is because they're born into that situation. We can help get them out of it I was born into this situation. We already do help people out of it. I'm proof of it.
