After the Atheon boss fight, maybe the "dead portal" opens! try to find a way out of the room to go back to the jump puzzle. Also, there is a riddle we were given that leads me to believe it.
"You have found a pedestal. The chest was there at some point, it lies
between future and past, but not present. Time is broken, but it can be
fixed, for people have mended it before and left without questioning, what
changed. My only hint to you all. Merry Christmas -LRI"
WHAT IF time is fixed by beating atheon. Therefore it is not the past portal or future portal. And it is not present because it is a location not place in time. Therefore we need to beat Atheon and go backwards. WHY ELSE would we not automatically go to orbit??

How about one person stays outside during the entire atheon fight? Maybe that infamous quote from Kabr may be interpreted wrong. What if by he meant in "No one can open the Vault alone. I opened the Vault. There was no one with me but I was not alone." as in there was people inside the vault fighting atheon while he was outside, then when he was defeated he opened the vault somehow to let everyone out to go to the dead portal in the jumping puzzle

I've been a little off the search for personal business, but I came across a friend and talked about this. After mentioning the riddle posted here and the few theories that I'm trying to check, he said: " I know I read it somewhere, that in the jump puzzle area, time IS broken, and that the little lights in there are ghosts that have lost their guardians." After hearing this, I kinda thought about the theories about that dead portal, and maybe, just MAYBE, that dead portal can be activated. Now, I'm not jumping into conclusion for sure, cuz I don't know if what he told is completely legit, but I won't throw it away either. If anyone has info on this, please reply ASAP, I'm finally getting more people to help me with the search on PS3.

To do this you would need a flawless gatekeeper and Atheon which isn't so hard. Maybe it will work

Edited by ItzVioletZ: 7/1/2015 7:54:08 PMI support that thinking, I believe beating Atheon fixes time, his grimoire card says he "sidesteps 'past' and 'future' ". If we can open the door and retreat to the jumping puzzle, I believe we could find: A. a different jump puzzle B. the dead portal activated C. a chest in the small cave ( the long claimed space that we all think is for a chest) D. the rock besides the chest-space removed, hopefully leading to an unknown path I also have other theories, but I cannot say for certain since those are a little tough to verify alone.

There is a spot u can touch up above the entrance to atheon that reopens the door back to jumping puzzle.

Stand in front of the door for a few seconds and it re-opens. If I remember correctly, there may be a platform right in front of it that you need to step on.

If this is confirmed, please advise how to do it, this could actually be a key to resolving all this. This could give a boost to one of my theories.

Nooooooo, haha don't worry, at least, if you can give it a shot at the theories that Drewx991 posted, its all good. I personally would like this to be solved, I too, am convinced that there is at least 1 o 2 more chests in VoG that haven't been discovered yet.

We leave it without questioning it because it opens the vault for us and we always seem to rush in. Has anyone ever looked around/observed the spire when formed? I know about the cave on the left that supposedly spawns a chest but even though they still say it hasn't been found. I don't know I'm just throwing it out there.

OMG LEFT THE GAME without questioning it. After you beat atheon, we all go to orbit. I think that there is more to the game than we think. We have to beat him and look around for a way back through.

That is a very good point. Though you could apply that philosophy to the jumping puzzle too. People always just go across. Gorgon too......OR even the jump down to gorgon.
