Only if its executed correctly. How I feel it would be (this is barebones, mind you, I'll be highlighting weapons); Weapons are sorted into tiers, you can only trade inside that particular tier and certain weapons cannot be traded or are reset after the transaction. Mind you, this is barebones. I'd love to hear feedback and maybe additions. Tiers are introduced into the system. Bungie may classify weapons into tiers how they like but a few things must remain constant; 1) There must be a trade, no gifting. 2) Weapons that are traded, must be of the same tier. 3) Exotics cannot be traded unless they aren't maxed. If you start it, you keep it. 4) Gjallerhorn cannot be traded under any circumstances. 5) Depending on the weapon, its stats are reduced or reset upon trading. 5a) If one weapon is reset or reduced, the other weapon in the trade transaction will be reset or reduced upon trading to keep the exchange mutual. There are many, many, many other scenarios and stipulations that can be applied to make this system as fair and neutral as possible. Also, to prevent lower levels from trading their way to Endgame gear. Here's an example to give an idea of what it would be like; Player One;Hey, I got Uppercut Payload from IB this weekend, trade you Timur's Lash for it. Player Two; I think those are in two different tiers, my friend. Player One; Oh yeah, you're right. Well, do you have anything of the same tier? I'd hate for this to go to waste. Player Two; have a stock Matador I've yet to break down. Interested? They're in the same tier. Player One;Eh, sure. I could use another shotgun. What's the element? Player Two; Void. Player One; Deal.
