There will probably come a day when i dont want to buy destiny's next dlc, whether thats the one coming up or destiny 3's equivalent of ttk
But that doesnt mean i dont deserve FULL ACCESS to everything I ALREADY PAID FOR
Bungie you low life scumbags how bout for once in your pathetic lives you put the players interests above your interest in making money
Everyone who doesnt have ttk should have access to the same gear at lower defense and the SAME CONTENT they had b4 taken king came out

For all the idiots defending this crap. im only gonna say this once so pay attention. Yes right now you probably don't care about non dlc owners being locked out bc your NOT locked out. But what is bungie trying to do by locking out the content? They are lowering the bar for their new content. They are trying to take away your ability to make a responsible decision. I'll elaborate. If they DIDN'T lock the previous content you would be able to evaluate each expansion by its own merits and decide whether it is worth your money. By locking the content you are required to buy the expansion just to get back to your baseline of enjoyment, yet alone the new contents added excitement. So IF in the future you want to be able to make responsible decisions about buying expansions for thus game you NEED to support these complaints now. Otherwise bungie can continue to deliver underwhelming expansions for the next 10 years. That's all I'm out.

Might as well face it, this is s subscription game disguised as DLC.
-
Yea I was a wondering why I could not do the weekly and daily missions. And the fact that I can't get legendary marks to actually progress, I've found myself just repeating strikes to actually have something to do. Oh, and crucible being half locked as well.

Already there....In an Ironic twist, I'm gunna apply the $40.oo that I had set aside for ttk, to purchasing Halo 5..You know...the game that was made by Prior bUNGIE employees...
-
You realize the content in taken king wasnt already on disc. I hate ppl that think it was.
-
The next DLC is coming out in 3-4 months
-
I probably agree with you, but rather than start the shit-slinging immediately, we should be ratcheting up the pressure on Bungie to make a statement explaining their decision. The optics are bad. It looks like we're being hearded to DLC, but let's hear the rationale before making this toxic.
-
yep the TTC (The Taken Content) Takes all

Here's why... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bD80DQv2o44

I don't mind buying large dlcs like ttk. House of wolves. I felt ripped off.
-
Yes, they shouldn't have surgically removed so much pre TTK content just so the TTK content works in the "evolving shared world". I didn't know "shared world shooter" meant, "hey, we're going to get rid of some of the content you paid for because we're moving forward with the story and if you don't like that, you can suck it." Did you know people without TTK can't even earn legendary marks through activities? Isn't that Fůcked Up?
-
Old content is redundant. New content is better. Facts.
-
Bump - and thank goodness there are clearly a good number of players who bought TTK, but still realise that this business model will affect us all if it's shown to be a lucrative way of making and selling content. If you want a future that isn't filled with 20% of the game on release and the other 80% sold separately, now is the time to speak up. I sure as hell don't.

Edited by total_putts: 9/21/2015 2:47:04 AMSo what your saying is you want some sort of phasing where there are separate Destiny's based on what level of expansion the player has? Or you want the story to in no way affect any old content areas, but only create brand new zones? While I understand the sentiment, it's just unrealistic in this type of game. I suggest you play more arcade games I suggest geometry wars
-
Same here. I didn't buy right away just to see what was left for those that don't have ttk, and there is pretty much nothing
-
Yea, I question the logic of whoever made this decision at Bungie. I find it hard to believe that they couldn't just allow non-TTK owners to hit 40 and then limit them to the nightfall only when it's non TTK strikes. I'm not sure how it could work for the weekly heroic playlist, but it should be do-able. Add to that the fact that they have no gear that they can purchase from the tower and it just sucks. I just don't understand why they would think this is a smart move, it's not a money grab because it's pissing off more non TTK owners than it's attracting and you would think they'd try to avoid that. Could be Activision forcing the issue.

Please check out this video and show my man Tek some support.
-
I agree. Bungie should make Weenie Hut Jr version of NF & WHS for all Destiny players.
-
Thanks for your support , if we will not stand against bad business practices , game companies will continue to use this sneaky tactics.

Edited by Phil 421: 9/20/2015 4:07:44 PMThanks some people fail to realize yes they got the new content with TTK but they still cut content from their game too. They've taken anything fun or challenging and put it behind a $40 DLC. And by fun or challenging I mean loot, bounties, activities, gear, and difficulty levels and Modifiers. No DLC should be free but it shouldn't come at the expense of those who chose not to buy it or couldn't afford to.

I don't understand the whole content locking argument. It isn't even really an argument at this point. Literally everything from the base game + TDB/HoW is still there. So is the whole upset over nightfall being boosted to 40 and requiring the new DLC? Pretty standard stuff for a weekly lockout activity like that to require the purchase of new content. Shit I should go sue blizzard for not letting me get my badges of honor from TBC heroics. How dare those greedy mother -blam!-ers evolve the game and charge me money for it.

Agreed
