Bolt Caster, Raze Lighter, or Dark Drinker?
Having a hard time deciding which exotic sword perk is best and for what.... The Bolt caster definitely looks to be the coolest but it seems not as many enemies have arc-shields anymore, and most of them do arc damage so that kind of screws with the motivation to get that first. Any opinions?

I say bolt caster is great because it's like a mini dragons breathe with more ammo and faster fire rate, raze lighter and dark drinker are close due to the fact that dark drinkers damage is just SLIGHTLY lower than raze but at a cost of a much slower hit and aoe damage, raze can lunge up to wizards harpies but dark drinker is for ground units ONLY. If you need to destroy yellow bars quickly is raze ( if u abuse block u can even melt bosses with stomps, but not with dark drinker due to the fact that it takes long to finish the r2 attack)

Raze-Lighter for yellow bars you can get close to. Dark-Drinker for crowds/hordes you can get close to. Bolt-Caster for literally anything that you can't get close to.

1 ReplyOnly have the Raze Lighter so far but I love it! Soloed the nightfall today with its help. Killed two of the Flayers with its uppercut with one heavy synth.

I have all 3 and there is only one that i use the most in pve. Raze lighter! It does way more dps compared to the other 2. dark drinker is the worst.

Raze lighter. I have all 3, and they all have their own uses, but I use raze lighter far more than the other 2. The damage it does it incomparable to the other 2. If I find a major with an over shield, I can R2 one time with raze lighter and either kill it or have it on a sliver of health. Bolt caster takes 2-3 R2's to kill it.

Bolt-Caster is a good pvp sword, Dark-Drinker is for clearing mobs and Raze-Lighter is for massive single target damage (lookin at you Psion flayars)

Raze Lighter is OP. One uppercut takes out yellow bar Captains. Straight sick

So far, I only have Dark Drinker. I have yet to fully upgrade it but, it's very powerful! I'll unlock the other two sword types on my other characters at some point.

Firstly get all of them as they are all fun. But I have to say for pvp the bolt caster is so fun!

Nobody saw my street fighter post about the swords- bolt= hadouken, void= tatsu, solar= dp lol. I like them all and each serve a different purpose, but my fav has to be the raze. The most underwhelming of them but it does the most damage to a single target!

I use and love Dark-Drinker. The damage is high and what alot of people fail to acknowledge about it is the fact that it makes mobs flinch. So during the spin, you're essentially immune to any non-boss (and some boss) melee range attacks. It's also amazing when you go to resurrect a team mate. Block + res = all adds close and a spin for the win!

Even though it may not seem like but dark drinker does more damage than raze lighter.Raze lighter has better dps but dark drink kicks âss.

Dark drinker for warlock or hunter. Otherwise it doesn't matter.
